They will probably get a comp pick for him if they hold on to him.. For the sake of convo lets say its a 5th.. And they get to keep him for the rest of the year..
Yeah I agree. I do think they would trade him for anything higher.

This has to be devastating news to the Nostradamuses on the board who were predicting the Cowboys would trade for him. All those Derrick Henry threads just went to pot.

If they're not going to trade him they must be thinking of extending him. That'd be a bit against the grain for RB's with his wear.

Stupid move if they dont trade him. He is gone at the end of year Gotta get something for him.
Agreed. Which makes it hard to believe. Titans are going nowhere and it is very unlikely that Henry returns next year.

The only reason I can see why is their division is not great maybe they still think they have a shot at winning it.

Why do they have to insult everyone's intelligence by floating that obvious b.s. out there? Everyone knows he will be traded

Been saying all week. Why would they trade him?
They arent catching the Jags or Colts.

No QB at the moment as well. Trade him now, get a 3rd or 4th.

RB market really isn’t great. Comp pick likely doesn’t get you more than a 6th. Plus frees up an additional $6.3 million in cap

There are still 3 days until the trade deadline, so of course they are saying, "We just didn't get a good enough offer for him", hoping some team will swoop in and offer something better.

These tactics like this as well as Jerry's "We're not looking, but we're listening" are so pathetically obvious to everyone yet they think they are being so smart.

Here's what we know .. teams field offers for players up until the last day because "why not?" Unless some teams makes a stupid offer for a player, there is no incentive for any team to trade a player before the end of the trade window.

I don't put any weight behind Jerry's, "We're not looking" media claim nor do I put any weight behind any team that declares 3 days before the trade period ends that they did not receive good enough offers for any of their players.

If it really was not a big deal, the teams would never say anything no matter if they are buyers or sellers.

The fact they are making these statements proves they are lying, at least at this point in time.

nobody offered what they wanted. This is just a ploy to see if they can get the bids higher. shrugs..

They probably heard the stuff The Mouth breathing Joneses were offering and didn't want 4 coupons to Golden corral in exchange for Henry.
Can't just manifest draft capital when you're not coughing up a 2nd or 3rd for Henry, and that's what the Titans want.
We could offer them some player/s in exchange if they have the golden contracts.
