Man the Titans are ridiculous. One of the worst teams in the league, holding on to an old running back, whose value is decreasing geometrically… They should trade everyone even close to 30. Dump everyone, and get the first overall pick for the next couple years… That’s how to properly rebuild a franchise.

Deadline isn’t until Tuesday. It’s all just to drive his price up

really that high? Im not up n how comp picks are awarded
They won’t. Comp pics are based off of the value the player signs in his next contract. Running backs make squat…running backs on the wrong side of 30 make less than squat. It’ll be a day three pic… Probably fifth or sixth round.

Ah thanks. Then they should trade him. Likely get something better than a 5/6 pick

Reading between the lines, the compensation they've been offered isnt enough.

Henry will be 30 next season and headed to free agency. Unless they plan to resign him and believe they have a chance to put it together this season or next it probably makes more sense to trade him.

They probably heard the stuff The Mouth breathing Joneses were offering and didn't want 4 coupons to Golden corral in exchange for Henry.
How long did it take you to come up with that one. I mean really, you should open for Dave Chappell with comedy like that.

I don’t know what’s worse. You spending an hour to find a joke that would fit perfectly right here. Or people actually hitting the heart…

There are still 3 days until the trade deadline, so of course they are saying, "We just didn't get a good enough offer for him", hoping some team will swoop in and offer something better.

These tactics like this as well as Jerry's "We're not looking, but we're listening" are so pathetically obvious to everyone yet they think they are being so smart.

Here's what we know .. teams field offers for players up until the last day because "why not?" Unless some teams makes a stupid offer for a player, there is no incentive for any team to trade a player before the end of the trade window.

I don't put any weight behind Jerry's, "We're not looking" media claim nor do I put any weight behind any team that declares 3 days before the trade period ends that they did not receive good enough offers for any of their players.

If it really was not a big deal, the teams would never say anything no matter if they are buyers or sellers.

The fact they are making these statements proves they are lying, at least at this point in time.
Excellent point Reality.................all these teams just spew BS and think the fans will just lap it up.

The Titans might say they have no intention of trading Henry, but the bottom line is that any player is moveable, for the right price.

Titans might think that price is a 4th round pick. If somebody offers a 4, they will trade him, if nobody offers a 4, they will just keep him.

This is what they really mean when they say "we are not actively looking to trade Henry"....................I say 50/50 odds he gets moved by Tuesday.

Dallas offers a 4th; no go.
Philly offers a 7th, and a happy meal. Ding!
You would be surprised how often this really does happen........................some teams just refuse to do business with other teams, be it they are divisional rivals, might be bad blood between the organizations, maybe one owner voted against a proposal by another owner, maybe one team stole a free agent from another team, ect....

And lets keep it real here, Jerry Jones aint exactly on the BFF list when it comes to the other owners............dude even tried to get the Commish fired.

So yeah, dont expect Jerry to be getting any sweet deals on the open market.

This is a classic case of a GM negotiating with interested teams thru the media. There is literally no reason to declare this and for anyone to take it seriously 4 days before the trade deadline.

Good point.

Unless they are just getting trash offers like 7th round picks, it would be stupid for the Titans to keep Henry.

1. Dude is 30 yrs old, which is the point where analytics say RBs fall off a cliff.
2. TItan's are a rebuilding team, they are not a contender. Probably wont be contenders for several years.
3. Henry will be an UFA at the end of this year, so odds are he walks and the Titans get nothing in 2024 draft and a comp pick in 2025 which will be low.

So the smart play here would be for the Titans to trade Henry for a mid round pick in the 2024 draft. Otherwise, he walks next year, probably signs a cheap deal with a contender to get a ring before he retires, and the Titans dont even get the comp pick until 2025 draft and it would be a low comp pick as well since nobody is giving a 30+ yr old RB the bag.

Like I said, unless they are just getting total trash offers, it would be stupid for the Titans to keep Henry.

The fact is they likely are getting trash offers right now. Things won't really get serious until after the games Sunday thru the deadline.

Good. Giving up even more assets for a RB is stupid. Never should have given Pollard $10m
