Titans fire Mularkey

WOW! Lead that bunch of average joes to the playoffs and get fired for it? Guess the organization realizes how easy the AFC is to actually qualify in and just how far behind their division rival Jags the Titans may be...

The underlying motive is still the important part here. Titans see an opportunity to get better and will try to seize upon it.

Jerry lacks that vision.

Jerry gets too friendly with staff and players at times.

I thought it was just talk about MM staying there. Seemed forced since Ownership IMO was surprised they made it in the playoffs. Bet he would of been canned had they missed and no one would be confused as to why.

Jerry wants to prove the world he can win "his way". The prior success can be attributed to Jimmy, Jimmy's players, and to some extent Parcells and Parcells' players (ie Romo). If he would hire a McDaniels or Patricia, Bellichick would share some of that credit. He wants to win with Jason and prove the naysayers he did it all by himself. After all he gave Jason a shot as a coach even before he hired Wade. He wants to prove the proverbial Gepeto that he is a "real" GM and football guy.

I legitimately can't get excited about Cowboys football if Garrett is still here. We are like the Rams under Fisher. The talent IS there.

Great example
Let this sink in, if Garrett goes, there is a good chance jerry would hire Fisher
The real problem is the owner

Wonder if he'd take our open asst head coach/run game coordinator and Tight ends coach?

That's generally been his role.
I’d be interested. He’s a good assistant.

Took Titans from 2-14 to divisional playoffs appearance in 2 years. Can’t have done that bad a job.
