Until the Cowboys get serious about defense and special teams, stop thinking that all they need are a bunch of first round picks on offense...

The titans are not loaded with a bunch of pro bowlers...beyond a few players the team is really lacking talent in many areas...

And they STILL almost made it to the Superbowl

.........and SF won 5 games last year with the same coaching staff. The recipe for success is talent AND coaching. TN has plenty of very underrated talent that don't get the national exposure our players do.

Garrett had enough talent on defense to produce more than he ever did. They weren’t all time greats, but they were certainly enough to at least do some damage in the playoffs.... if only they had the proper coaching.....

Demarcus Ware, Sean Lee (all pro talent), LVH (Def ROY), Morris Claiborne (1st rounder), Mike Jenkins (1st rounder), Byron Jones (1st rounder), Bruce Carter (2nd rounder), Brandon Carr ($50 million free agent), etc just off the top of my head. At the time, most teams in the league would have loved to have those players.

Garrett can’t use the defense as an excuse for not winning jack squat.

they have a collection of high draft picks and a stout OL, and an former 1st round pick QB who was a bust in Miami but well suited to fit their system and what they wanted to do.

But also consider that it's not just us Cowboys as a comparison, but the Titans also got the best of two of the very best NFL teams in the entire NFL ..period. Including SB odd favorites the Ravens and SB dynasty -led NE Patriots.

Few outside of this board view our Boys as being loaded with talent.

Hey, how great was his coaching in the first 6 games with Marcus Crappy Marriota behind center? It was just nuts how Grabel really picked up his play calling and schemes once Tannehill took over and was a top 5 QB from game 7 through the end of the regular season........ yeah, that coaching was really big and truly matters..... bahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

I've been talking up Tannehill all year.

I said he was not a "superstar".
There are only a very tiny handful of those.

Little talent? They got to the playoffs in 2017, nearly made it again in 2018, and got to the Championship this year. All they are missing is a QB to take them over the top. This wasn't some fluke like the Jags in 2017. The Titans have had a solid team for a few years now.

so you think that tannehill is their problem? They were 2-4..... TWO AND FOUR when Tannehill took over and went 7-3 after and avg 30.4 ppg, and you think they have a QB issue? Keep in mind, there were games where they just didnt need him to pass and they just gave the ball to Henry. In the 1st 6 games, Henry only avg 4 ypc or more one time. he NEVER avg less than 4 ypc after Tannehill took over. People make it like it was Henry that made it easy on Tannehill.... nah, it was the other way around.
