So many silly strawman arguments you are making.

One, Elliott doesn't have to be a homebody. This is easily the dumbest rationale people have tried to use in this thread. Elliott can go to clubs, go to nice dinners, go drinking with his boys at a bar, etc. And when a situation arises, walk away. Again, is Elliott the only NFL player that might get harassed while out? Of course not. And yet, we don't see tons and tons of NFL players getting into bar fights, etc. Why is that?

Two, this idea that he had to hit the guy because of some sort of honor code for his girl is also silly. LOL. It's an easy choice. You tell your girl that you can't be involved in situations like that. It can cost you money and your career. That there are always going to be goons out there trying to pick a fight with you and you can't be baited.

I mean that's what this is really about. The more clearheaded and less immature NFL players know this and make sure they do whatever they can to avoid being caught in situations like this.

RBs are not a dime a dozen like many say. Did you see what we did in 2015 vs 2016? Same OL. Different RBs. Different results.The RB by committee in 2015 got pretty much zero yards that had any substance. We could not control the game with our RB and establish a tempo. If you are a middle of the pack guy, sure, the differences are not much between the rest. But finding a talent like Zeke is not a dime a dozen. He makes a huge difference as you saw.

To add, Zeke is a HUGE part in what we do. Maybe on a team like NE he would not have the same value because they don't value the RB like we do and run a different offense. A lot of their quick passes are equated to long handoffs.

But with what we want to do and try to establish on offense, a player like Zeke is not a dime a dozen. He's a special player. I believe in this offense, he can get to 2k yards a few times. Or at least once.

It would not surprise me if local writers have more information regarding Zeke but can't or won't report it because because they are not properly sourced or is second hand information that they can't confirm.

So while they can't say anything about these stories, they believe them. So, even without realizing it sometimes, they may talk about how Zeke is some kind of ticking time bomb or something.

I'd argue that Zeke is on a different level than Dak when it comes to what he's getting himself involved in. And it's happening way more frequently as well.

But you're right, it's definitely safe to assume that part of Dak's humility is just a show. He wouldn't have the success he does unless there was a decent amount of arrogance/self confidence.
