Well, to be fair, people were comparing this team to the 90s Cowboys.

Now it's really starting to feel like the 90s Cowboys...

True, but the trade off back then was the team was winning championships that made all of the nonsense worthwhile.

This will dominate the entire preseason national media coverage. Just watch.
That's part of being a star on America's Team, can't have it all. Cowboys dominate most headlines good or bad because they have one of the biggest, if not the biggest fan base. That's also why they get more prime time games on average.

that is exactly why I brought it up........ stuff happens on the streets that can't be controlled (except for the DUI)

Dak and his boys were just trying to have a good time and got jumped .....now its a huge street brawl and guns are pulled.....sounds like Ray Lewis........ telling these guys to avoid trouble is nearly impossible..... there are a lot of thugs and gold diggers and general creeps out there..... at the beach, at the club, at fireworks, at concerts, at the pizza joint

Of course the difference here isn't that Elliott just had some bad luck and found some trouble and got punched. He was the one who appears to have clocked a dude in the face.

And again, there are quite a few NFL players and stars who somehow, someway, manage to avoid being in situations like Elliott sometimes finds himself.

so much naivete around here....... not all athletes are saints and expecting them to be is pollyannish

And if they aren't saints and get into trouble, they have to pay the price.

But in the end, they have a choice. They can continue to act like morons or clean up some things in their lives and stay off the police blotters and on the field more.

not really

I think it's pretty interesting Zeke's own dad has concerns over his son's maturity and ability to handle fame, but some posters are quick to dismiss any notion there's a pattern of bad behavior/decision making.
I know if I was Zekes father I would:

1. Be proud of him for what he has accomplished on the field and,
2. Be very worried about his off-field behavior/decision making.

Pulling a girl's shirt down at a Dallas parade......immature act, girl was ok with it, nothing is ever mentioned except on here.
She may have been "ok with it" AFTER the fact but she clearly wasn't expecting him to do that. Something STUPID on his part & could ( if she wanted ) have been a much bigger deal than THANKFULLY it ended up being.

keep waiting....... your Hero Worship is cute
So you have nothing to contribute, other than to keep bringing up a situation involving Dak back in college, in a thread about Zeke in his pro career. Your reach at trying to defend this crap isn't cute. It's sad.

not really

Not really what? That Elliott allegedly hit a guy in the face? That Prescott situation is akin to the Elliott situation? That star NFL players are all like Elliott and can't seem to avoid bad situations?

They need to rely on the running game. And those other backs are good backups nothing more.
You're right but with our O line I think good back ups are enough to get the jobe done. I'm not saying we won't lose a game because of his absence but we shouldn't lose every, or even half, of the games he gets suspended for (assuming he gets suspended).
