Newman has given up the fewest receptions of any starting CB in football

Hall has has given up nearly twice as many catches

Every single game He has either let a WR score multipleTDs or get over 100 yards..Sometimes combined.

They have scored atleast 11 TDs on him...And That's me being nice.

T.O has 2 and Holt has 3. That's 5 Tds by 2 Wrs.

In his defense those were zone schemes and not man to man but yes he was the closest defender on both occasions, the Lelie one was just a great pass, Newman was there and about 2 inches shy of knocking the ball away.

I don't think players look at how many td's were given up...I think they look at tackles, interceptions, td's scored. I think coaches look at guys who give up some plays but who also give the ball back to the offense.

I also think that DB's who play for teams that man-up most of the time get more respect than DB's who play more zone.

It's legitimate to argue for our own guy, and TNew deserves it, but let's not act silly and indignant and pretend that watching ESPN makes us more knowledgable about players than the coaches and players who probably watch more game film in a season than we've watched in our lives.

They like guys who make plays, not just guys who cover well, and as much as we love him, we all have to admit that TNew has not learned to play the ball or is forced to play techniques that don't lend themselves to playing the ball...he has never been an INT guy, and until he becomes one, any trips to the probowl will be infrequent.

Not according to the official stats, Newman was given the TD against, so once again you are wrong...deal with it.

I'm not going to argue about it, watching the play, it's clear the corners were switching WRs, because Newman read the play and hopped to the opposite man almost immediatly. Maybe he was supposed to, maybe not, but the fact that he lacked hesitency leads me to believe Henry just ***** up and didnt switch properly

Hall does not deserve to go and Tnew does. Simple as that. Who has given up the fewest TDs? THAT is the reason a CB is there- to prevent catches and scores. I am willing to bet that most of the COACHES chose Tnew; but everyone else went with the mouth of burnt toast.
