They just called that in GB earlier saying that you can't just run over a WR. Turning your head doesn't relieve you of pulling the arm down and running him over. Watch again. Every QB gets that call on the helmet. No refs. Just Lions blowing it. People cry refs here about anything

He didn't run him over. If they called it another time, they messed up that time. It's not hard to see why they through the flag, but it was still the wrong call on the last play.

Pulled his shoulders sideways, clearly not a FM
Rodgers did a good job of faking the head spin, he did barely graze it , then pulled him down by shoulder pads.
thing is no way to review it, unless detroit had a timeout, if they did they should have used it and try and get a review.

now the hail mary, 3 man rush was not enough and allowed rodgers to launch the ball from LOS , and the guy who
caught it also rodgers ! was not in Endzone and just made great play on the ball.

Detroit guys were playing the receivers and it is better to just play the ball.

It was a facemask. He hooks the mask going to the shoulder. Even if he touches it and causes the head to move, it's a facemask. And since facemask penalties are 15 yards, the Packers are in business.
Too bad I didn't start Richard Rodgers on my fantasy team. :(

That's not the rule. And he didn't hook. He grazed it (with some force). Easy to see how it could look like a facemask at full speed, but it was not.

For some reason, I'm angered by the sequence of events. I don't know why.

How about the contribution by Packers rb John Crockett, fresh off the practice squad rookie..............former teammate Carson Wentz gotta love it, Looks like they might be able to acclimate to the speed of the NFL

It looks like the most overrated player in league history ain't so great w/o the best receiver in football... Jordy Nelson

I told this board time and again that Nelson is a flat out stud and I take him over the loose cannon were stuck with!

Anybody think Brian Billick will do an examination on the 'culture' in GB? I want to have my dvr ready! I can't miss that!

The way I saw it:
It was offensive pass interference first play. DB had his head turned to play the ball, receiver slowed down and then used both hands to pull the db down. Others will disagree with me on this, but that's how I saw it.
Next play, looked like a facemask live, replay showed it wasn't. Shouldn't have been called, but I can kind of understand.
Last play, OL got away with a big hold and minor block in the back, neither called. Still, terrible hail mary D by the Lions.

Lions got screwed imo.

Are you kidding? He threw 2 TDs and ran for another after being down 20-0. They started 6-0. Comical

Neither Nelson or Dez are studs when injured. As Dez is now. He obviously isn't healthy.

Aside from 12 men on the field, isn't full speed all that matters when it comes penalties?

@deanblandino Hand up to the mask, quick grab with finger and head gets turned. At full speed official is going to make that call almost every time.

Amazing fake on the slow motion replay, Ginobli-esque...
