We still had a good offensive line, Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin. Hell, the Vikings should have been in the Super Bowl with Randall Cunningham slinging the ball up. Their kicker didn't do his job.
Nate admitted he was done after 95. The O line clearly was going downhill by 96 and the Defense was much worse.

He said the team was done winning Super Bowls. Jerry decided we didn't need Alvin Harper and the offense kinda struggled. We went 6 - 10 in 97 and somehow 10-6 the very next year with the same players who had one more year of wear and tear on them. Moss would have been good for 3 wins at least. 13-3 would have been home field advantage. I'm not saying we would have beaten Denver but I think we would have been there.

The defense was actually ranked better in 1996 than 95 if I remember correctly.

Just made my point
Allen had no major injuries. He had problems with his hamstrings and was treated like crap by Parcells so his motivation plummeted.

That was a joke, by the way. No one is better than Larry Allen and I don't think anyone ever will be. They would have to be created in a lab.

Are you getting Larry Allen and Erik Williams mixed up? Because Erik Williams definitely wasn't the same player after the car wreck. He lost his agility and balance. Another example of Switzer costing us three straight because he never wrecked his car under Johnson and we win that game if he plays. What I don't understand is why didn't we put Ron Stone in the game instead of a crippled Larry allen?

I'm sure that doesn't help. I haven't paid much attention to Tyron Smith. Is he actually playing? He's usually hurt by this time of the year. Strange how he isn't in New York.
Yes he is playing. He's the left tackle.

No he would not have made that much difference.
