Lack of O-line depth was the #1 thing that killed our season last year.

Well, maybe that and kicker.

Sure, its a boring signing, but it addresses a need and the money is probably about right. HIs versatility will come in handy if we have injury problems again.

We'll have to see what their plans are for him.

He's 27 and has been shuffled between positions a lot. He should still have some upside.

My guess is he's here to compete for the starting RT job, but we'll see who else gets signed.

I believe he will challenge Rogers and Petitti for RT and win. If not, he can move anywhere on that line if someone is moved (i.e. Allen ) I can also possibly see him moving to center if we don't pick up Mawae or Hartwig.

I don't think he play the center position, and, the Boyz have signed Gurode to another one year contract because Parcells thinks Gurode is a better player at center.

Kosier, doesn't play Center, but he is a very versatile guy and at 6-5 309 he can fill a hole if need be this year. It does make me question what we are planning with Allen a little bit.

For a starting RT, that's chump change. He's played in this league and will give Colombo and Pettiti time to become players, plus should Rivera degrade further he could start at guard. You are right on the money, often times we see a 5 year 15 mil deal and think OMG what are they thinking. You have to remember his 4-5 years will be backloaded with money he will never see and the 5 mil signing bonus will be spread over teh full 5 years.
