TO the PROBOWL

PERCEPTION vs REALITY
before last weeks game

Most people fell to realize that all elite WRs drop passes. IMO, the reason TO didn't make it is don't like him and because they don't like him his drops are overly scrutinized.

TO has 4 more drops than the last person on this list. He has 22 more attemps than that player, and 2 more games than Steve Smith.

games/player/drops/(passes attempted)

12 games Terrell Owens 12 (121)
12 games Darrell Jackson 10 (105)
10 games Steve Smith 9 (107)
12 games Andre Johnson 8(133)
12 games Randy Moss 8 (93)
12 games Reggie Wayne 8(99)

Im sure some of these drops can be classified as passes defended by coverage and out of the aforementioned WR(s) how many are playing with tendon damage in one of their hands?

I agree with you bro, but I wonder how much his antics this year hurt his chances.

My hope is that this snub will fire him up for a good game on Christmas, and into the playoffs.

Not that he needs any more motivation against Philly. :)

The drops are what killed him, he'd have about 14 TD catches otherwise and Dallas would have won at least one maybe two more games.

As much as I can't stand Owens he should be on the Pro Bowl roster instead of Donald Driver.

Ad, even if he'd made the roster, he still wouldn't have "gone"...

You can bet that surgery on that damaged tendon is in his future within a week of the end of the Cowboys' season...

So I don't really care that he didn't make the team...

He has put up pro bowl numbers.

Maybe, maybe not... he ranks 1st in the conference in TD catches, 3rd in receptions... but he's only 5th in the conference in receiving yards...

I think he deserved to go, but even if his lousy rep didn't hurt him, I'd understand the position of those who'd argue he's not quite worthy of the Pro Bowl this year...

Not when Driver has more receptions, and more receiving yards... more catches of 20 plus yards, more catches of 40 plus yards...

On the flip side, Owens has more catches for TDs, and more catches for first downs... clearly, if you think that TO deserves to be in the Pro Bowl, you have to acknowledge that Driver does, too...

A very valid point.
