TO Deserved to GO

TO has been a good #2 receiver.

:lmao2:

If he's a "good No. 2" receiver, I can't wait to see what a "great No. 1" looks like.

I'm waiting for the 176-catch, 2,710 yard, 28 TD stat line to now appear.

If hes a #2 then whats Crayton a #6?

Practice squad fodder, if that, given this adjusted scale.

The drops are what killed him, he'd have about 14 TD catches otherwise and Dallas would have won at least one maybe two more games.

ESPN is so predictable. Their agenda is in full swing and has been all season. Just to prove my point... Someone, anyone give me the name of the person that had the most drops last season. Back it up with a stat too please. :shakes head:

T.O. Should have been picked for the Pro Bowl.

But oh well...Come on Owens make everyone pay for this snub and show them all just how good you are.:D

Boldin going over TO is a JOKE.

Less catches, less yards, and SEVEN less TD's.

Are you freakin kidding me??????

Not when Driver has more receptions, and more receiving yards... more catches of 20 plus yards, more catches of 40 plus yards...

On the flip side, Owens has more catches for TDs, and more catches for first downs... clearly, if you think that TO deserves to be in the Pro Bowl, you have to acknowledge that Driver does, too...

Donald Driver also happens to have the best porn name in all of pro football. Only Bubba Franks and Neil Rackers even come close.

I'll say again what I've said since the bean counters started tracking "dropped balls". The stat is completely subjective and is different relative to who spews the numbers. There is a perception that anything that is within arms reach of a receiver and he doesn't catch it...it's a drop. My point is even stuff thrown behind, low or in a position where his hands touch it but don't grab it is considered dropped. T.O. has certainly dropped passes I would like to think any receiver could catch, but I don't think there is alot more than really any other WR. I remember alot of guys on this board touting Keyshawn Johnson's ability saying " Key would never drop that, Key would catch that easy, etc, etc." Seemed to not show uop when he dropped several sure TD's, including against Dallas. Meaningless stat.

Players, fans and coaches apparently select players for the Pro Bowl. T. Owens not making of the team is an indictment against him by the fans, players and coaches. It's sad because he does deserve to be on the Pro Bowl team, but his actions probably cost him. He's proven that he only cares about himself. It's amazing that he didn't make the team even though the votes probably were counted before he spit on Hall.

I read he may appeal his $35,000 fine. Why!!! He admitted spitting on Hall. He never said it was accidental until a few days later. He said Hall got to him and he reacted. It doesn't sound accidental. Why admit it. Because he probably believe there was video of the incident.

He's lucky he was n't suspended which I strongly believe should have happened.

There's a difference between deserving to go due to a good season but missing out because there are other very good players at your position and getting screwed over for clearly lesser players.

I don't have a problem with any of our big 3 (Owens, Newman, Witten) not going this year...they had good enough years to warrant an invite, but their colleagues didn't think they were better than the guys that were selected.

It's not exactly something to whine about on the level of Cowboys bias in the HOF voting. The guys who are going are very good players.

Personally, I think there are better wr's than T.O. despite him having a great year, and I like both of the TE's better than Witten...just a difference of opinion....even Irvin didn't make it every year, you know.

I do think Newman is every bit as good a CB as the guys who made it, but the bottom line is players, like many fans, appreciate CB's who intercept the ball and score td's, even if it means giving up td's now and again.

We still got a fair shake in the voting, imo, and Romo getting in is evidence that the players and coaches are somewhat open-minded to it.

I think T.O based on the numbers deserved to go more than Bolden. I have no problems with the other 3 receivers, but he should get this surgery done on his hand and come back next year and prove he is still a pro bowl receiver.

Does TO deserve a Pro Bowl invite?

His stats = Yes

Fans = Yes

Players/Coaches = No

It's interesting that fans believed TO deserve to be a pro bowler but the coaches and players think otherwise.

I think it's pretty clearly a statement on their part, saying they're simply tired of his act. That you can't continually behave in such a weird manner and still be rewarded year after year.

He hasn't done anything jaw-dropping or team-tearing here, IMO. But he has been a constant annoyance in he news -- from riding the bike in Lance Armstrong gear to falling asleep in meetings to saying he tuned out Parcells.

I'd be highly surprised if any of the people voting really didn't believe he was PLAYING like a Pro Bowler. Have a feeling they got to his name and just said, 'No way am I voting for him.'

I agree he should have been voted in. I'm a hater but judging from his performance on the field he and some of the other Cowboys, ala Newman, should have been voted in.
