To Mike McCarthy

His competitive nature may be overruling his sense of self preservation. Also, his youth makes him feel invincible. He probably doesn't consider longevity, when he's playing.

He reminds me of Emmitt Smith when he was a young player. He kept notes on his locker to remind himself of his goals. I think Parsons is a lot like that. He's very goal oriented. I think his coaches respect his work ethic and avoid doing anything to discourage it in any way. It's what makes him tick in a very special and unusual way. Take that away and he might well be forced to settle for being someone less than what he is. Special people just need special consideration. Jimmy Johnson was a coach who recognized that and he often spoke of it.

Alot of "coach knows best" in his thread. I get it, we won the game going away, so criticizing the coach won't be a popular thing to do. But Parsons never should have been let back in that game. We play the Giants in 3 days and we all know this team is fond of laying eggs on Turkey Day lately. We need him healthy and not worn down. Bad situational awareness, I am sorry.

I get what you're saying, and if we were only up by 10 points, yeah, keep Parsons in, but the guy isn't indestructible...just ask his groin.

People who right full sentences in all caps and talk about culture should
be immediately put into the round file (that means trash can, kids).

No need to apologize -- everyone is entitled to their opinions. That's what makes this website so interesting. It's a privilege that we have here and I'm glad to have the opportunity to exchange ideas with those like yourself. I respect your ideas and hope others here do the same for me. ;)
