To follow up on this, Owens supposedly said "Anyone else" or something along those lines and looked at McNabb dead in the face and McNabb wanted NO parts and bowed down gracefully.:laugh2:
Its interesting, Freddie Mitchell and another bum player were the ones that said McNabb was out of shape, not T.O. But when Owens was interviewed and he said "I wasn't the one out of shape" the media took it as T.O. revealing to the world that McNabb was out of shape when in reality, he was stating what Freddie Mitchell already said. So realistically, he wasnt even throwing McNabb under the bus because he didn't state McNabb was out of shape, it was Freddie Mitchell that did.
People don't know how much of an egomanic McTie actually is also. He was extremely jealous at the attention the fans gave T.O. in Philly. The fans absoloutely worshipped T.O. which was unheard of for a WR. When T.O. went down with the broklen leg, instead of being supportive of Owens like most Qbs would do, McNabb indicated indirectly that they don't need Owens. I'll have to find the correct quote later.
With all that being said, T.O. definitely has a lot of issues of his own. But things aren't as black and white as people think. I'll never forget the day Jerry Rice took his OC's head off AFTER the 49ers scored and took the lead, because Garcia threw him a low ball and was dropped by Rice which negated a TD that he wanted to obviously pad his stats. "Tell him to throw a ****ing spiral. A ****ING* SPIRAL."
Jerry Rice wasn't the saint everyone thinks he was. He cried his way out of San Fran after his injury when Owens was clearly the #1. But to the national media, Jerry Rice is a saint. Although I can't stand my brother and his 49ers fandom, I'm glad to have had the luxuary of being able to know a lot of truths behind the perceptions created about Rice.
