to put it bluntly Petiti needs to be benched

i expect a coach with a lot of experience to NOT put us or a player in that position.

last year he'd NOT start hensen cause he didn't want him to embarass himself. where did that mentality go?

That is absolutely correct. Except with Parcells it obviously only applies to Henson and the QB position.

Accuse me of using facts eh...that was a low blow. :p: ;)
I'm in a bad mood. My Cowboys lost and the Cardinals are on now.

Did any one see any of our line do any thing today? I agree that Pettiti and Tucker arent playing well, but really who is on that line?

Evidently, that only works for QB's.

Once BP gets enamored with someone.....for whatever reason, he'll make excuses for him till the sun comes up the next day. Remember the excuses for VT?

Our two tackles are starting because we have no one who can beat them out. At this point, it's obvious they're not starting material - they're average backups at best.

With a Bledsoe, until these positions are addressed, we're not going anywhere fast.

JJ is a second rounder.....we expect him to be running better don't we?

I guess that being a 6th rounder automatically makes you expect him to suck.

Maybe he just shouldn't be starting...being a 6th rounder and all.

Geez, should we just go through all of our players and decide what we should expect through that?

Should we expect nothing? Should we expect them to do anything at all? I guess not.

Or maybe we should expect him to struggle now and again...sometimes more other times less.

But then again...was it not an All pro, considered one of the best in the game, OTs having similar problems last week vs the giants DE's?

Not making an excuse for Petitti...but man alive he is a rook and he was not considered an elite rook.

He has, and will struggle.

To have great expectations on him to not struggle and have bad games...is at the least unrealistic.

you dont know that he isnt...he was better when he was healthy before and i think i know what i see now...terrible....heres the deal guys i added it up...Petiti has given up

at least 13 sacks all year!

4 to strahan

2 to fisher

2 to burgess

1 to bryant young

1 to pryce...

1 to edwards for the lions

1 to brandon moore...rushing on the outside in the 3-4...ok maybe petiti didnt have him but it was on his side...

1 to foley on the chargers...rushing from his side in the 3-4...

maybe one of two of them werent his but there for sure was one or two i missed on guys he should have gotten that stunted so its basically 13 sacks and ALOT OF PRESSURE....in 12 games...thats not good...because there probably have been 25 pressures too!

Yes and there is a reason a lot of 2nd rounders start over 6th rounders. They are usually better players, which is why they were drafted earlier.

You can't expect a 2nd rnd nba player to cover a Michael Jordan... or a 2nd rnd player to play even a Ray Allen right away and not give up 20+ pts. So why should we expect a 6th rounder who has already struggled in some games to block a future hall of fame player? come on!

And Columbo was sitting there in FA for at least Half a Season...that should tell you something until he gets in game shape and learns an offense.

Who knows maybe you will get your instant evaluator boyscout badge next week and he will start.

i think bp is getting columbo ready for next week...time to shut it down on rob..he should be better by now...i bet he is in the bottom half of RT's in the league right now...even if his dad posts on this site...he is a rookie and may end up being good but right now he isnt...bottom line...if that guy had no help all year he would have 25 sacks on him!

Colombo wasn't able to do leg work for 2 years. That's where all your power comes from. I don't know how far along he is and putting him in the game could actually be worse

i understand that but i think he could be ready soon...i will tell you this i would have kept vollers for sure at this point...even if he was hurt...

Well it took peerless price HOW long to learn our play book? and he really just needed to know the routes, and basic run blocking assignments.

How is Columbo, who is recouping from a leg injury, going to learn an entire offense so quick? O-line has to know EVERY assignment, PERIOD.

Petitti has major struggled against Giants - thats a fact

The excuse or blame game - you go

yea i seem to remember Walter Jones.. one of the best tackles in the game gettin raped by the giants last week.

You do know that Sparano and Parcells need a consultant. We could e-mail this thread.

No doubt they could use the laugh.

Yep, and they're going to laugh us all the way out of the playoffs too.

Now who's laughing ? :laugh2: :laugh1:
I guess the informed will get the last laugh.

Ahh, some people will NEVER ever question Bill or his minions. No matter how bad he screws up. The same people who said he was doing a fine job last year as well..........

Alas, let's all say how great a job Bill does running on first ( so predictable the Defense actually takes the handoff in the backfield :p: ) passing short, punting and eventually losing.

Bill never does wrong.....it's still the 80's....Bill's a genius and a champion!!
ALL PRAISE THE MIGHT BILL!!!
