As a fellow Marine i respect Rockport's service to the country.

What is hard for me to understand is the way he disrespects others who don't share his views. We should all be able to fan in our own way without insult. But that's easier said than done in this space. Lol

Disrespect is not a Marine Corps trait. However,  tact is one of 14 leadership traits:

It's the ability to deal with others without causing unnecessary friction or offense.

As we know RP usually doesn't follow these guidelines.
I've taken shots at him from time to time, but I don't take it personal when he comes at me. I mostly stay clear of his more heated entanglements, which is probably a good thing.

I watched an allegedly legit clip of drill instructor's introduction to new Marines. He said something about how you treat the fellow marines around you. With respect and dignity? Something like that. Not sure if that applied to citizens or not.

We are at least one more good offseason away from this IMO even if 'certain things go our way'. But, we are leaps and bounds ahead of last year so the needle is pointing in the right direction and I am excited for the season

Probably right, but if enough goes right, it is indeed possible….finally…to have some reasonable success, even if they absolutely stumbled into that route and wasn’t their first intention.

Parsons and McCarthy would still be here according to what they actually wanted to do. They’ve got some exciting players Im looking forward to watching, but Jerry and his kid are still idiots and will find a way to blow it one way or another eventually. If nothing else karma will hit them yet again.

Maybe don’t make jokes about “deals with God” and trying to get out of it. Not to mention all the extracurricular activities that he swore to that same God he wouldn’t break. I truly believe certain things are connected.

That's great, congratulations!! I built my home in 2002. Took me 58 days. Sold 2 properties to pay for it, not having a house payment for the last 24 years has allowed us to do a lot of things. Paid all my daughter's school, paid every dime of her wedding, wife and I retired at 50. Enjoy my dad that turned 91 yesterday and she enjoys her mom. My daughter's house is about a mile away. Very fortunate to live in this dust bowl, that we call home. Lol

We are finally going into a season where there is reason to believe we have a chance of winning it all. The pieces are now in place to pull it off. For all the years Jerry has held us back, you can finally give him a smidge of credit for what he did this offseason. It started with the trade of Parsons that put us a position to completely revamp the defense. Not just revamp - but improve exponentially at all levels. And despite what some morons continue to say here, we have an outstanding QB who likely plays the best season of his career. Offense will be dominant. Defense goes from being a complete liability to a strength. Of course, everyone knows that regardless of talent, certain things must go your way to win it all - but the fact is, we have a roster capable of pulling it off.

And again, in the big picture it's entertainment. Not life and death. It's meant to be fun. And for the first time in a long time, you have a team you can be proud of and have fun supporting.

I’m more excited than the last couple years but I’m telling you right now. I don’t trust Dak against a good defense in big games. He gets rattled and never recovers.
