Of what defenses are gonna do with Weeden at qb...there is a reason the rb's didnt produce in the 2nd half..Atlanta adjusted and put 7 & 8 men in the box to stop the run to make Weeden beat them..they new Weeden couldnt......teams will continue to do this with him at Qb.....he sucks and he is what he is but the play calling is to blame also...run, dump pass for 3 yds repeat....if they dont trust him to throw down field to keep a defense honest he should not be playing....the defense could not get off the field long enough to rest because the O couldnt stay on the field in the second half........perfect example as to why Jerry should have Romos future replacement on the team...what did we do between aikman and romo??? That might happen again when romo is done....

We don't have our best WR either.

Take Ryan and Jones away from Atlanta we win 57-0.

This season is screwed. same dumb luck. sucks

I would rather go with Cassel but hey will give Weeden more games.

I don't think Cassel is gonna do much better. At least Weeden knows the playbook and has some continuity with the players......Coaches got to figure out... how to get this ship right....the Defense will get better, but the NFL just got game tape on how to beat the Cowboys Offense....

Cassel is not great but the lesser of two evils, he at least has won games in this league.

Cassel is not as limited as Weeden.

Weeden does know the offense but does not run it well and his limitations will continue to lose games as you rightly observe.

Most said if we can stay around 500 we'd be okay. There's going to be more losses. Got to beat the Saints next week. It's a must.

WE put 7-8 in the box on defense and could not stop their BACK UP RB

Top running teams run against 7-8 nan fronts

Dallas had a four man front backers dropped in coverage..when they did stack the line it was not very often...atl.did it most of the second half because they were not worried about weenden

Here's a repeat post just for this thread....we lost, blame the backup QB for not throwing downfield.

Anyone notice that the winning QB didn't throw downfield either? Ryan--24 completions for 285; Weeden--22 completions for 232. The difference is Jones was open short and across the middle all game, and he has the skill to do something with those short receptions. Weeden was not the problem.

Pick your poison it's the worst of two evils.....Cassel keeps getting passed around team to team for a reason....look at Buffalo he couldn't beat EJ Manual and Tyrod Taylor.. Coaches have to figure this out...either Weeden or Cassel will QB this team for the majority of the year....Neither will win a game for you....but can they manage a game, or not lose the game is the question. I don't think Weeden lost the game today. He didnt play as bad as I thought he would (expected worse)...I just don't think the coaches made the right adjustments and opened up the offense in the second half...WHY They were coaching scared and not to lose.

Atlanta adjusted and the Cowboys didn't trust Weeden enough to open up the offense.

Except for the one interception, Weeden did just what the coaches told him to do.
