Here's a repeat post just for this thread....we lost, blame the backup QB for not throwing downfield.
Anyone notice that the winning QB didn't throw downfield either? Ryan--24 completions for 285; Weeden--22 completions for 232. The difference is Jones was open short and across the middle all game, and he has the skill to do something with those short receptions. Weeden was not the problem.
Weeden was the problem...jones for atl is a wr, he is suppose to get the ball..he has a qb that gets the ball to the wr..weeden didnt do that..all three yrd passes to backs..big difference....he could not keep the offense on the field long enough in the second half to give the D a rest after Atl.started stacking the line to stop the run...a good qb will make a team pay for stacking the line.....not weeden..
