In today's NFL, is there ever any need to use a first or even second round pick on a RB? I don't see enough difference in the top 10 backs every year to use a high draft choice.

I'm afraid that's what we've done this year. And not because of yesterday. Just history of RB's, especially B10 backs.

That is nonsense. We can easily evaluate individual play without looking at the win loss record.

this cracks me up ....Rodgers only threw At Ramsey TWICE in the game, he was spreading the ball around...When Jacksonville was playing zone 4 passes were completed to the receiver in Ramsey's area. Zeke will be fine and Ramsey is a good cb BUT it's way to early to jump off the ledge for crying out loud lol. Truth is this....The giants game planned to shut Zeke down and it worked because of SEVERAL variables. Dak did fine, Zeke did fine and believe it or not our D did better than I thought. In the preseason these guys didn't have alot of time together and anyone who knows football will know it takes a bit to gel so relax already sheesh

Let me simplify the question.

Do you think it's ever a good idea to take a RB in the first 2 rounds based on the last 10 years of RB's drafted?

You are absolutely posting this today because of yesterday.
If he would have ran for 150 yards and 3 TD's you would have stayed quiet.

This debate has been beaten to death leading up to the draft and right after the draft.

New York would have stacked the box last night EE or not.

Also Morris in limited carries looked good. Oh and we could have signed Lamar Miller for half the guaranteed money we gave Zeke and kept our 4th overall pick for defense.

RB is the most fungible position in the game. We made the wrong decision. What I hope for now is that Zeke becomes all world and our selection works for us in spite of our own self sabotaging efforts.

You do realize until Dak gets more experienced, teams are going to be stacking 8 in the box, right? Supposedly, our OL and run game is our strength. Dak is a rookie so they will want to make him beat him. So this is not something that will be changing going forward.
