I'm sure Zeke is going to be just fine.

But no, I would not have taken him at 4th overall in the entire draft. That pick is worth way too much and so many good to great RBs go in rounds 2-3....it's almost the norm.
It'd be way worse if they'd done something crazy like spend both their 1st and 2nd round picks on, say, a guy like Mo Claiborne. Or maybe an early second rounder on someone like Gavin Escobar... Oh wait..

You can spend a high draft pick on a running back or not, and either way you will win or lose based on whether you pass better or worse than your opponent.

CB Deshawn Shead was the leader in CB stats yesterday. He only allowed 3 yards, had several pass breakups and made 3 tackles for losses.

He was undrafted Free Agent in 2012.

Get Seattle on the phone. We can use 1 game to sucker them into trading Zeke or Shead....

Just goofy to go off of 1 game. And popping off at the mouth after the game doesn't make you a leader. Unless you are trying to lead a group of big mouth blow hards.

ditto. and ppl are saying well "bounce it to the outside" "use ur vision". its not that easy.

there was nothing there for zeke. in one play i particularly remember him literally having to step over 2-3 guys just to gain 3 yards thats how good giants dl beat out our ol.

must add tho, zeke needs to be more patient. thats all

In today's NFL, is there ever any need to use a first or even second round pick on a RB? I don't see enough difference in the top 10 backs every year to use a high draft choice.

I'm afraid that's what we've done this year. And not because of yesterday. Just history of RB's, especially B10 backs.

RB' would never be in my top 4 picks. The value just isn't there.

Most smart draft people would say that you don't use a first round pick on a RB unless they are a special talent.

It's too early for this discussion I get what the Cowboys were trying to do and now we need to sit back and see what happens.

If Zeke wills us to victory like he did Ohio State 2 years ago then it was a great pick.

If he's average then we blew a great opportunity.

I was a fan of Zeke but I was not a fan of the pick considering how bad the defense was and how easy the position is to fill. I liked Lamar Miller in free agency but we'll see.


I'm not going to criticize the pick right now. It just needs to get better and i'll give the guy until October.

Nate Newton has said for months that it will take Zeke 2 or 3 games to start reading his blocks and using his instincts before he stops just cramming it into people so lets hope he is right.

Ramsey and Jones absolutely could play together as safeties. In any case Ramsey would have started as a corner here.

He's not the same player. Read their scouting reports. They didn't even play the same positions in college.

they are exactly the same player although Jones can probably play CB and Ramsey can't.
