We don't need 6 WR. Brooks, Fehoko, Johnson, Davis, Durden (I know he is hurt), Houston are all pretty similar. At least 2 go to PS.

Can't Jourdan Lewis go onto some IR or PUP list and not count against the 53? That would be spot for Luepke. And as much as people want to keep Thomas, we have 5 or 6 safeties ahead of him. Keep the pass rusher Land that showed a little juice. Gallimore is useless and gives the biggest cap savings of anyone that is on the cut line.
I think that they can go with 5 receivers because they are so deep at the position. They for sure can get 2 or 3 to the practice squad that are good enough to play.

I agree 6 WRs is too much , plus Luepke can make routes and catch .

You know how it is around here... if they haven't made all pro by the 2nd year then they are too old anyway so cut'em......

Does Nashon Wright have pictures of DQ with Barnyard animals? How the hell are we keeping him? I much rather keep the CB Butler or Mandell. Heck, what about keeping the wr Billy Johnson? He's been shining lately. What about Brooks?

Again…why in the hell do you need four (4) TE’s, but just five (5) WR’s??? Asinine!!!
Lol, #6 receiver and #4 TE positions are practically strictly blockers… which on offers more in that capacity?

If they keep Scott, then keeping Wright would be redundant!

I'm not understanding that either especially when its Hendershot and Mckeon......I mean clearly you'd take one of them but they are passing up some quality players for them.

That said, is Lewis cleared to play yet?

Pretty sure Lewis will be on PUP and he missed the LS.

i can definitely see this happening but personally, Gallimore I would replace with a LB of the waiver wire and I would sub Luepke for McKeon.
I noticed that too, but it may be a way to get one of the injured guys on the season return IR. If an agreement is in place, they can bring back Seig. Not sure if he’d be subject to waivers though

Likely out. Didn’t do enough.

Cox and Ball likely out
Cowboys Outlook:
Cox was an ascending player early in his career for Dallas, but hit a brick wall following a nasty ACL injury in 2021. Last year, Cox was only used in sparingly in parts to help cover special teams, but it was clear he was not physically ready. With Cox’s play style predicated on his athletic abilities, the ACL injury looked as though it slowed him down.

Medically he was able to play but he looked as though he needed time to gather his agility and quickness, as well as get back into a football mindset. Cox has always been one of the new-age type off-ball linebackers that uses their speed and agility to cover a range of tasks. So when that’s cut away from him it takes away the most special parts of his game.

Whatever the 53 is, won't be the final roster by any means.
Will have some moves to make to stash guys and have to try and float a few guys through the PS.

If you played any real amount game 3 you are very much at risk.

Cox is super awful and they are better off playing a safety there.

Stop listing Micah at LB. He is clearly an edge.

Luepke looked like hot dog water most of pre-season and needs a year of PS but he could carve out a long-term role if he gets his agility and balance figured out.
He can be a solid hback/short yardage Teams guy but he isn't ready yet.
He'd be 5th at RB and 5th at TE/HBack.

Wonder if there is enough good tape to get the 4th back on one of these depth DL or maybe a 5th for Joseph.
