Nahshon Wright will NEVER do anything but bring more disappointment to this team…how is he still around???
1) 3rd round \ 99th overall draft pick only two years ago
2) Phyiscal stature fits the profile DC Dan Quinn wants for his CBs

Again…why in the hell do you need four (4) TE’s, but just five (5) WR’s??? Asinine!!!
The final 3-5 roster spots are driven mostly by Special Teams.

However: I too would prefer 6 WR and 3 TE, assuming the final WR has good size, can block and play ST.

My criticisms:
- Swap Waletzko for Ball. We need to stop treating Asim as a Guard. He’s a beast at LT
- Swap Chuma for Farniok. Who would even play backup center??
- swap McKeon for Jalen Brooks. I don’t get McKeon at all when you have 2 awesome blocking TEs in Ferg and Schoon
- swap Gallimore for Leupke. No, you don’t need 4 3T and Leupke is more versatile in ST
- Lewis and Wright start on PuP. Use those slots on Isiah Land and a RT off waivers or Waletzko as a last resort
- I didn’t see a long snapper. Do we have one??

Brooks is the next man up and he likely could make the PS.
And be gone in 5 minutes….same with Luepke…and there we sit with a Nashon Wright wasting valuable oxygen…soooo tired of the refusal to admit mistakes on draft picks!!!!!!

Agreed 1000 percent! No way that 53 by Archer is accurate.

Lots of things wrong with that roster. Will definitely not look like that. We'll see pretty soon.

M. Bell probably moved to LB

Cut N. Gallimore add J. Brooks
Cut Nashon W. add Hunter L.
Cut J. Thomas Add I. Land
Those are the right choices/adjustments. I'm hoping that the middle of the week roster includes those names.

To get down to 53 players is about roster manipulation. The most notable cuts on Tues last year were Rush, Grier and Maher. The next day we signed rush and Maher back to active roster and put Prier on PS.

The bottom of the PS constantly gets churned all year as players get claimed one week, cut and resigned. We signed 2 guys last year from other teams cuts.

Also they have to take into consideration that signing guys during the second week of the season you dont have to pay them for the entire year. So unless they trade for a player I think that is when they will sign a veteran that gets cut. Of course some teams will jump the gun just to ensure they get their player. Placing guys on IR, factors into cuts as well.

Not sure of any rules changes that affect that this year but expect some crazy stuff on cuts day and be willing to wait till about 2nd week to see a more permament roster take shape.
