I do not see the appeal being effective because the NFL pretty much said they hit him hard because he was uncooperative.

There is a max amount the League can fine a team and owner in the League's by-laws... $1mil is the max I believe. See the Jim Irsay fine and punishment.

Edit: The max fine for an owner is $500,000. Unsure of the max for teams.

After reading through all the PFT stuff, I learned that the Patriots indefinitely suspended without pay the two employees involved on May 6th. That is basically an admission of their guilt. No one can argue anymore that they didn't deflate the balls. There also isn't any doubt that Brady orchestrated it all because why else was he signing balls, jerseys, and shoes for a lowly lockeroom attendant.

If this would have been a fair case first of all at least two SB winning seasons by New England should have been stripped by the NFL (with all titles).

Like in every sport where the athlete or the organisation cheats to be successful in that big way it's the first way to punish a team/athlete. After that comes personal charges and consequences. Like fincancial punishment, lifetime bans for athletes and FO personal etc... But first of all it's the success (eg SB win, AFC titel, divisional titel) that has to be striped.

What the NFL did is just a farce. This is all about money and IMO it would have hit the NFLs merchandising programm way too hard if they spoke "true" justice. So they did not and therefore cheat their way to a rediculous decission like New England does to it's SB wins.
