The evidence they have is this. The equipment guy basically stole the footballs from the officials room before he was given permission to take them to the field. When asked about it, he lied and said he went straight to the field. They showed him video of him taking the balls into a bathroom for a minute and forty seconds. He then said he went in to use the urinal but there is no urinal in that bathroom so he lied again. Then they have his texts with the clubhouse guy talking about get signed goodies from Brady for deflating his footballs. He actually called himself the deflator. You don't need anything else. Video evidence of the balls being taken into a room before the game. Numerous lies from the guy handling the balls and said guy getting free signed Brady gear. When put together, it's obvious what happened.

thx

what evidence did they have? All this BS that they didn't have anything......

Well, what about the under inflated footballs to start with?

Or the "smoking gun" text messages between the trainers how much air they are to take of the footballs to satisfy Tom?

How much more evidence do you need?o_O

LOL there was more than enough evidence there to implicate Brady. There is also possibly even more evidence that Brady is holding back that would probably prove this cheating took place over several years.

People say it didn't give them an advantage are being ignorant. Of course it gave them an advantage. Why else would they be doing it?

How in the world could the nfl not have the authority to enforce the suspension? The reduced suspensions as of late were due to the league applying the current rules to issues that occurred before the rules were in place. That is not the case here. The league has spelled out exactly what the suspension is for and this happened after the new rules were in place.
The league can't just do anything it wants. Anything the league does must be based on the authority granted to it pursuant to the CBA. In other words, for a court to overturn the suspension, or reduce it, the court must find that the league violated the terms of the CBA. The court can't simply say that the penalty is fair or unfair.

Since Tom terrific only got 4 games, does anyone think that Romo would have gotten the same?

I am not Pats or Tom Brady fan. but Roger Goodell is out of control. once again he went to far with his power. 4 games. a million dollar fine. and a first and 4th round pick for this. you have got to be kidding me. i am going to be fair even if i am a cowboys fan. Greg Hardy will miss 27 games for messing up 1 time. and now this over reach. this guy needs to be fired. he has been nothing but trouble.

Terrelle Pryor was suspended 5 games in the NFL for the stuff he did while at Ohio State.

Note that they repeatedly say the relationship between fumbles and inflation are speculative.

Of course they do because it hasn't been proven. The numbers don't look good though. The one chart puts it at 10,000 to 1 it happened by chance.

Surprised by the length of the suspension as I thought it would be 2 games. Figured Brady wouldn't appeal.

I still see it being reduced to 2 games especially since Goodell and the League's decisions are arbitrary and capricious. There is no rhyme or reason behind the suspensions they hand out (with the exception of drug infractions or PED's).

Surprised by the 4 games but not at all with the fine or taking of picks from the Pats.

Hey that's send the Horsemen over to Goodell 's and have them work him over, then see how much he wants to suspend Hardy. WOO !!!!

Football is a game of inches. This is a team who won all their titles by less than a touchdown. Many times by a field goal.

And you guys don't think that playing with balls that are easier to throw, easier to catch and much less likely to fumble could make a difference?

This is more akin to a PED suspension. They only get overturned if there was some mishandling of the evidence or a spoiled test. The punishment itself is rock solid. Brady not cooperating basically gave Goodell carte blanche.

Funny you should ask because I considered this myself after hearing the news.

Sadly, my first thought was Romo would have been pounded if he were in Brady's shoes. Of course this is just my opinion due to the fact we got hit so hard on the Hardy ruling. It's hard to be objective in today's NFL when you clearly see patterns of favoritism.

Tell that to Greg Hardy. he 1 charge against him since he has been in the NFL. and he will not be allowed to play for 27 games. that is unheard of. Roger Goodell should be fired. he is out of control with power.
