Tom Cable for OL coach?

His OLs in Seattle were absolutely garbage. Plus, some of his OLs left in free agency and preformed better on their new teams.

Why on earth would we touch this guy?

We are talking about a position coach. Everyone has to start somewhere. At one time Cable was new to being a position coach. I agree with Garrett though he is his awful and clearly wasn't ready to go from QB coach to HC.
I'm not even trying to argue against Cable if the Cowboys sign him I will be happy. But i would like to see what Colombo has to offer

I hear you. If we had a real coach I would agree. If Garrett is the HC we need experience across the board.

Ok, if he's great, why is the SeaHawks O-line considered to be so bad? Poor talent? Drafting? Can we at least verify that Pollard is leaving before we start to pick successors. This guys name wouldn't be top on my list but that's just based on the quality of the Seattle's O-line. May have nothing to do with him as a coach at all. Or maybe it does. Buyer beware
They traded away a really good O-lineman for a TE.

Tom Cable is the reason the Hawks O-line sucks! He is horrible, you DO NOT want him trust me! For us Seattle fans, we are celebrating tonight over the firings of Cable and Bevell. The 2 cancers have been cut out of the Hawks offense.

These 2 clowns are the main reasons for Seattle’s offensive woes.
I do not know how Cable for this “good rep around the league” as he is horrible at his job.

If you want your O-line to go into the craper, hire Cable.

Unger was/is over-rated, unless you are talking about short hopping snaps, or growing a beard, he’s good at those 2 things.

Jimmy Graham is the better player it’s just that our ******** OC (who was fired today) couldn’t figure out how to use him after 3 years.

And we had a back injured pro-bowl LT, then a back injured/groin injured/knee injured LT and that's not supposed to be an excuse. The thing is, we can't go blindly in to 2018 knowing that Tyron will be healthy in 2018. Impossible to know that. Yes he's young and a warrior and a great football player but backs are notorious for flaring up. We have to address back up tackle in this draft and drop the swing tackle name. Swing tackle means the tackle is there in a pinch if the starter get's injured. In fact, the back up tackle should be good enough to come in and NOT allow 6 sacks. The issue of not addressing back up tackle is still an issue until it's addressed

I don’t disagree that OT is a need. I was just stating trading Unger hurt the Seahawks O-line and that most think Cable is a darn good O-line coach if given players.

How about the Alabama OL coach? Seems to always provide good pass protection and good run schemes

Hudson Houck was supposed to be a legendary OL coach but his second hitch with the Boys was a failure. Maybe Cable just lost his edge or whatever.

Cable is HATED HATED HATED by the Seahawks fanbase, that's a big hint the Cowboys should have nothing to do with him.

Same with Bevell. You guys mad at Garrett's inappropriate play selection NOW? This is the chump that in Super Bowl 49 called a slant to a special teams scrub at the 1 yard line with the game on the line and Beast Mode in the backfield.

so that was not Carrol's ego making that call?

I like Cable. But I would rather go with Colombo. Like to see if he's got what it takes to move up the ranks
Be nice to get new blood instead of recycling the same old coaches forever.

Give me the Patriots O Line coach , and their WR coach. They know how to block either run or pass, and the WR's know how to run rub/legal pick routes.
