Took Jimmy 3 tries to finally get Aikman, and he has Jerry to thank for that. LOL

Tried to recruit him to Oklahoma State, even went to his house in Henrietta personally, Troy went to Oklahoma. But Jimmy's team broke Aikman's leg [I wonder sometimes about that..j/k]
Switzer changed offensive style, so Aikman transferred to UCLA, Jimmy tried to recruit him to Miami during that time.
Jerry buys the Cowboys, names Jimmy Coach, so Jimmy drafts Troy.

In my eyes Landry will always have a special place. Great HC and a great man. This franchise was lucky to have him as our 1st HC what he, Tex and Gil built was special and is still seen and felt today.
