Tomorrow is a gimme

I'm getting some pregame jitters but I feel this way every week during the season.

On the road, opening weekend, in the heat, against a team that had the same record we did last year in a tough division, a team that's been 6-2 at home the last two years? How's that a gimme?

The Hideaway is! I think they open at 5.
I believe they do. I got Sunday Ticket so at least I'm spared watching Favre tomorrow.

there are no gimmes. just games you kick yourself for losing.

Other than the fact it is a road game, and that "on any given day" weird things can happen, I can't see a way in the world that Tampa beats us. Nothing at their QB position.

Anything worry you about tomorrow?

Our record in games with a starting temperature of 70 degrees plus is 16-3. Under similar conditions, TampaxBay is 11-10.

Heat = Win for Dallas

That attitude is the reason the Boys haven't won a playoff game in a billion years.

What worries me is they have a better HC. Technically and leadership wise.

Other than that, our talent level is Super Bowl worthy and can overpower the Bucs

Didn't realize the attitude of fans on a message board 9 hours before a game influenced things so heavily. :lmao:

Take this chill pill.

Don't take it personnally that some fans love their teams. So please excuse them.

Worried, nervous, jitters, whatever it is, i will have it by kickoff. A Gimme sounds like a game the other team is just giving up. I don’t see the Bucs giving up on opening day in their house in front of their fans with a new coach. Cowboys will win but because they earned it.

If we cant beat the freaking Bucs, Wade should be fired in the lockerroom after the game.

Seriously, this should be one of our easiest games all year.

Denver and Kansas City want to throw their hat into the ring as well.

Yea, we should hammer those teams also. Seriously guys, our hardest games are going to be our division games.

I like to say I'm not superstitious, but yeah, I kind of get the shivers saying a game is in the bag -- even though I know my opinion has no bearing on anything.

Clearly, though, this isn't a game we should lose unless we just have catastrophic injuries throughout the game. If Stephen McGee, for instance, is playing in the third quarter for any reason other than that we're leading by 78, holy cow.

But it's hard to imagine opening the season up in a more favorable manner, weather conditions be damned. You're going against a team with a rookie head coach who fired its offensive coordinator recently, a journeyman QB who hasn't had time to work with his wideouts and a team that wasn't that good last season to begin with before being dismantled in the offseason.

One bad week doesn't necessarily translate into every other game, but yeah, if we struggle Sunday it's going to be discouraging about what this season has in store.

If we cant beat the freaking Bucs, no way in hell we are going to beat the G-men.

Thus, we will be looking at 0-2 right out of the gate...........OUCH!!!!!!

I'm starting to worry because people think its a gimme.

Exactly. There isn't ever a gimme game.

How absurd.

If past history has shown anything, it shows there are NO gimmes in the NFL. Having said that, we are the better team and generally speaking, we should win.

I guarantee you there will be at least one upset in week 1 - let's just hope we're not it. I don't think it will be.

I'm always worried. Been too many Rams and Lions "gimmes" that the team lost. Nothing is guaranteed.
