With this being Julius' last season do you think we should try to pick up Tony Hunt out of Penn State with our third round pick? Who thinks he would be there with our third round pick, or should we try to package that and a 6th to move up half a round to get him? Also i think if he is there in the 5th round that we take Scott Chandler TE out of Iowa he is a big boy 6'7" and 260 with an incredible set of hands. would make a perfect third TE.

tony hunt is a 2nd day player. i'd rather the cowboys take a chance on bush since JJ will have another year still.

While I like Hunt, he's basically the same back as Barber. Dallas needs a back who can run routes and catch the ball - along with the speed to make something happen afterwards.

Why don't we just resign Julius and draft for other positions of greater need?

Julius is gonna be more expensive, he has not proven to be a consistant runner who we can count on not to run into the pile, RB is about to be a position of dire need why wait until were in doo-doo to make a move?

I see your point. But whats the reasoning to take a player who had very very similare stats in a lesser conference WHO HAS A BROKEN LEG? Over a proven tough runner who has pounded it in the Big Ten for 3 years with good results and looked great in the senior bowl, and amazing in Penn States bowl game.

you can knock some of his work out numbers but T. Hunt has produced in the Big Ten.

haha dont' we all

the player you are describing is.... Marshawn Lynch, Ladainian Tomlinson, Stephen Jackson, Clinton Portis, and Reggie Bush.

not exactly a dime a dozen scenario.

if what you said played out to be true, he wouldnt be expensive

as for the "dire need" comment, we have two good rb's...that doesnt cry of "dire need" IMO

I'm not going to defend Julius any more this off season. Haters are haters are haters. But RB is not about to be a position of dire need. The production of Julius + MBIII was pretty damn good last year. They are both young also. We are long way from doo-doo.

i figure it's worth the risk. bush could be the cowboys brandon jacobs.

know the dismal record of the cowboys doctors though, it might not be a good gamble

Tony Hunt couldn't carry Julius Jones jock strap, man people amaze me with speculation. Jones will shine this year and leave Dallas because he will be tired of the BS. Dallas will lose out.

Look at my name and decide if you really wanna call me a Julius hater!

I am saying we need to start thinking beyond him.

That may be Hunt, or Bush, or Booker but i would bet we take a rb this draft so we shall see.

you know this how? we would have give it some time and some NFL snaps to see.

As for your unimpared optimism you can pack that up and take a hike. nobody here is bashing Jones im just saying we could be looking to the future especially if we think he is not gonna stay.

Bush is a guy we can get real cheap in the 3rd or 4th rd, probably. Why not take a chance there?

We got Witten in the third. That's a difficult choice but I understand what you mean I think.

Tony Hunt, no good? What games were you watching. He personally mauled and I mean absolutely mauled Tennessee into submission in PSU's bowl win. He's going to be a very good pro back especially since he won't have to run behind PSU's horrid offense line.

ignore peterson and lynch......they are gone by the time we pick

so with that being said, the RBs I would like us to consider if we consider any are Chris Henry, Michael Bush, Nate Ilaoa, Ramonce Taylor, Arkee Whitlock, Marcus Mason, or Clifton Dawson. Most of these guys can be had in the 6-7 rounds...
