Is Tony Hunt really a second day player?

About hunt bieng like Barber, I agree, though he is bigger and has the body to take big hits more than Barber, Hunt is pretty much the same as Barber in playing style, we don't need another one of those.

can I get some basis for this statement?

Eddie George was pretty bad in Dallas, I would like you to explain this a little bit rather than just do a hit-n-run bash!

Most people have him going in the third but I could see him going round 2. I seriously think he has pick 40-50 kinda talent but i doubt he would go that early, because people have and idotic fascination with 40 times and he ran a very average 4.55

I would definitely take Hunt in the 3rd.. especially if we could work Julius in a trade somehow. I'd trade Julius to simply move up in the 3rd round a little if someone drops whom we might want (Hunt would be nice). The only thing I will miss about Jones is his burst, he has speed.. Other than that, he doesn't break tackles, not very illusive. BP was right on when he described JJ; he said he was too bulky therefore making him unable to slide between tackles. That being said guys like Julius really are a dime a dozen. Money-wise and the possiblity of landing a better player than Jones sways me towards replacing him.

Interesting you say that friend, and, I'm sure you know this, I guess from your signature you are a nittany lions fan, that Larry Johnson ran a pedestrian 4.56 at the combine...

40 times don't always mean anything....if they were always as important as people thought they were the Jerry Rices of the world might have been put by the wasteside.....Another thing...Emmit Smith ran a VERY SLOW 40, I think, 4.7 or something like that..(don't bite my head off if I am wrong about that)

that was when Indy had a slow-track, he ran a 4.45 at his Pro Day

and Tony Hunt is not Emmitt Smith, not even in his stratosphere, you could already tell that Emmitt was a special back before he came to the Pros
