Tony Pauline: Cowboys may have hit a home run with Kaiir Elam

The big reason people believe Dallas may have struck lighting in a bottle with Elam is scheme; he was in the wrong scheme with the Bills, but the Dallas system will play to his strengths. Elam struggled in the mostly zone scheme he lined up in Buffalo. Yet Dallas plays mostly man, which fits his physical style.
That sounds pretty good to me. Maybe the light switch will get flipped on this summer and the Cowboys traded for a serviceable CB! Good article.

I read another article about him that had similar points. It said he is a man to man coverage guy that had difficulty with the zone scheme in Buffalo. Hopefully this guy pans out. This would be a big boost.

Sometimes people just need a change of scenery or new coaching. I'm not mad at all these former 1st round pick signings at all. They are all decent signings.

I don’t think Elam is answer to replace Diggs but think he is better then Carson or any other cornerback on our roster not named Bland. It was a good trade.

He really struggled for Buffalo when their starting corner got another concussion in the playoffs and had to come out.

The Bills pretty much gave up on him.

Dallas at it again with another 1st round that can’t play.

We shall see.
