Sounds unrealistic. Is it Monopoly money? Seriously just think about it. Yes Romo is cool and a great QB but c’mon. That’s stupid money.. How much do the other legends make? 1.5 to 3 million per? It just seems excessive...
The problem with MNF is that it's being compared to its origin. When it debut, it was culture-shaping because until its time, no one had even heard of football being broadcast outside of Sundays and Saturdays and a three-man booth where levity was actually allowed. That was the format.Hope they get rid of the horrible MNF crew. They’re the worst in it’s history.
UDFA to starting QB for America’s team. To. Highest paid colour commentator in sports history. What a career. And that’s leaving out his dating record
I don't know about that. Roger Staubach was a real estate tycoon. Land is a valuable commodity. In fact, he’s making more than any cowboys QB in history (aside from a couple of spike cap hit years of his own)
The only thing I compare it to is good vs bad and it’s bad.The problem with MNF is that it's being compared to its origin. It has evolved, but it's been hard to recap that "magic" that made MNF the cultural phenomenon that it was.
I rarely even watch it anymore, unless the Cowboys play. There's nothing that draws me to the broadcast other than to watch football. And even then I fall asleep on the games, because most of them are boring. The anchors are so non-descript, they're basically invisible to me.
About the only time I'd even watch it for the personalities was when Dennis Miller was a part of the booth. He tried to bring some levity to the broadcast. "Jeff George throws a pretty interception."
I said that a while back. As the years pass, few are going to remember his gaffs and they'll remember his broadcasting career.Highest paid = No. 1 analyst
This will likely be his best route/ticket to HOF......
I’m shocked it took 2 pages before some one crapped on this.Sounds unrealistic. Is it Monopoly money? Seriously just think about it. Yes Romo is cool and a great QB but c’mon. That’s stupid money.. How much do the other legends make? 1.5 to 3 million per? It just seems excessive...
As a businessman, I've yet to see him lose on a deal.
It was at night too, that was a first too, and having 3 vg personalities in the booth made it more entertaining. The problem with MNF is that it's being compared to its origin. Romo must expand his broadcasting career far beyond his current game color commentary in order for the Board of Selectors to nominate and induct him as a pro football contributor. In my opinion, he is quite capable of doing so. Romo has the essential combination of intelligence, wisdom and just enough on-screen personality to supplement his post-football career in a significant way. However, what we see Romo doing now is very likely not enough to get Romo into the Hall.Highest paid = No. 1 analyst

So underrated as a QB and so overrated as a broadcaster.
