I loved Romo...I'm trying to know if I loved him enough to watch a documentary on him...
Don’t forget that a crippled one-legged Aaron Rodgers shredded our defense all game long.A shame. 1 or 2 plays away from breaking through and possibly making it to the SB. That murray fumble and Dez rip off no catch in the packers game was the year.
I disagree.I think it was sadder for fans than it was Romo who was paid handsomely having quite a career over achieving for a undrafted QB. He was only sad when he wasn’t provided the opportunity to play.
C'mon, don't be a chintzy harbor paymaster, mate!I loved Romo...I'm trying to know if I loved him enough to watch a documentary on him...
I think he's underrated by outside fans....but overrated by his stans. Was a really good QB at times; who never really won anything, and gets too glorified in our circles. Outside Cowboy fan circles ask any knowledgable fan "sure, the guy could play some decent QB... but not a GOAT or anything"
You would not know that by talking to our fans about him.
They all know he was great but they like to "snicker that he never won anything"Was a really good QB at times; who never really won anything, and gets too glorified in our circles. It was a shame how this organization treated him in 2016. And a large amount of fans also. Very sad indeedI think it was sadder for fans than it was Romo who was paid handsomely having quite a career over achieving for a undrafted QB. He was only sad when he wasn’t provided the opportunity to play.
There was an easier path in 2006. Feel free to blame everyone else but Romo for not moving forward. It was a shame how this organization treated him in 2016. And a large amount of fans also. Very sad indeed
He was robbed in 2014 and 2016.
He would have brought a championship home with those teams. But especially 2016. That team was awesome and took the league by storm. With the smash mouth. Would had been beautiful to watch Romo with Zeke.
But on the bright side we got to see a rookie break rookie records. Yeah Dak
I will never forget that. Marinelli had the Defense stopping him at one point. Then I am guessing he decided to go prevent. Bend but don’t break.Don’t forget that a crippled one-legged Aaron Rodgers shredded our defense all game long.
It came down to a team and many fans who begun to believe Romo must have been part of why we hadn’t had more success. It was a shame how this organization treated him in 2016. And a large amount of fans also. Very sad indeed

Nice spin, but Romo got run into the ground and couldn't stay healthy. Our leadership went against its initial football instincts in favor of the media and public outcry which ultimately placed them in a better position to lose with their new star than lose with the old one.
As a result it forced the old star out not providing him an opportunity to prove his wares again. Perhaps it’s a great example of what have you done for me lately? Despite his team leading career stats and carrying a franchise for an era for the lack of post season left the team with less hope they were leaving much behind.
Instead of going with the best available talent they went with the most popular at the time. It’s a conflict of interest we’ve often seen from our leadership who wears all hats weighing the good of the team versus its public perception.
News flash. He actually fully recovered and was ready to goThere was an easier path in 2006. Feel free to blame everyone else but Romo for not moving forward.
Unfortunately Romo couldn't stay healthy down the road. Suggesting he was robbed is a little silly.
Actually very underappreciated by many of our fans, imo.. And the national narrative was always a bit weird but seemed to be improving. Was a really good QB at times; who never really won anything, and gets too glorified in our circles. So basically they were drunk on the Dak Kool Aid.It came down to a team and many fans who begun to believe Romo must have been part of why we hadn’t had more success.
The first glimpse of a brighter star fueled our blinding desperation to win now and sounder judgement even with signs after we witnessed the difference in a brief exhibition.

He led the offense to more success than Romo did in his first two seasons. People see what they want, doesn't make them right.Until Dak leads our franchise to more success Romo’s legacy will continue to grow and the decision to bench him will continue to be questioned.
After all that’s part of what we do here on a fan forum is play Monday Morning QB.
If we’d won that playoff game with Dak this argument would already be null and void.
That doesn't mean the staff was confident that he could remain healthy. Otherwise Romo would have kept his job.News flash. He actually fully recovered and was ready to go
