Tony Romo is Overrated

In two playoff games Romo is 35 out of 65 for 390 yards, 2 TD's, 1 pick and an overall passer rating of 75.8

Not great, but not horrible either.

Yeah, he needs to do a better job in the playoffs but quite frankly I've questioned the offensive game-plan after each game more so than Romo's performance.

:hammer:

Yeah...and the Cowboys had the wrong guy at QB in 89 and 90 too...hell, look at all those interceptions. And no playoff wins....

How long did it take Peyton to win a super bowl?

I think Romo gets a little while longer.

P.Manning has a championship. Romo has not won in a playoff game yet.at some point you just cant talk about how good a guy is. he has to prove it. Romo has proven nothing.

Hey joker, how many games has Romo started in? How many did Troy start in prior to wining all those championships? Romo killed all Dallas passing records this past year. Give the kid time.

I can not believe the ignorance of some people!!

What I want to know is, when did Terry Glenn become Romo's favorite target?

ahhh, keep some pressure on him, like smelling salts, won eat so much "cheese"

I am ok with this.

This is so incorrect.....

Agree. The Cowboys lost by a total of 4pts between BOTH playoff games in both of Romo's only playoff starts. First one was after starting only 10 games.

Romo has only had one full season I would like to see some other quarter back come in and in his first full year be the best QB in the league. He is in the top five for quarter backs and nobody knows how good quinn is going to be so I don't think he is overrated I think he needs some more time.:star:

Like it or not, unfair or not, Romo will get some talks about being overrated. He has put up elite QB numbers in a short period of time, but has failed to deliver in December and the postseason.

Until it changes, the overrated talk will continue to be discussed.

That is not what i said. Dan marino was a great QB and never won a championship. Romo has played 2 terrible playoff games. what he needs to do is stop running around with Jessica simpson, and start living in the film room. my point was we dont know if he's overrated or not. we will see. but to say he's not overrated, would be hard to do based on the facts.

Again, this is so INCORRECT...

Tomo Romo is going to win a Super Bowl... if not not multiple Super Bowls. People said this same crap about Manning and Elway before they finally won one. It goes with the territory.

Romo changed the attitude of this franchise when he took the wheel, you could see the players on both sides of the ball feed off his swagger.

The only way I could possibly see anyone declare him overrated is his inflated statistics with Owens and Witten - but again, he did things with those two that Bledsoe could only dream of.

I don't think Romo is overrated giving the amount of playing time he's had. but I do think he gets more hype than he should. than again he plays for the Cowboys so he's gonna get hyped up.

Is there 3 Quarterbacks better than Tony Romo in the NFL?

In my opinion you can say Brady 1, Manning 2, then who is better?

Media would say Big Ben and Eli because they have rings.

Talent wise I could possibly say Palmer.

Brees is solid when he has weapons around him.

But no, he's easily the 3rd best in the game.

I only regret the number of brain cells that died as a result of reading this garbage :banghead: ---I am going to lay down and hope to recover

Well that was waste of time. The author should have been brave enough to put their name on this stupid article.

I agree with the premise that Romo has that monkey on his back after two late season fades. Its fair. What is unfair is thinking that he cannot overcome that. Hes got the physical skills, talent, intelligence and work ethic to get it done.

The only thing overrated here is this guys ability to see the whole picture.

(when your highly paid guy already has a problem with big games and pressure situations?)

thats where i stopped reading.....

I agree hes the 3rd best.

I would take Brees over Big Ben & Eli but I will say Ben and Eli still have the potential to grow into much better Quarterbacks than they are today.

My top five QB's are:

1. Brady

2. Manning

3. Romo

4. Palmer

5. Breese
