Huh?

Elway was taller and more "athletic" looking than Romo.

Elway had a stronger arm but didn't have anything close to Romo's accuracy.

Elway could scramble but not like Romo scrambles-- two totally different ways of moving with the football.

Elway didn't have Romo's quick release.

And while I'll catch flak for this I never considered Elway to be that bright. He succeeded because of his terrific athletic skills-- not because he was a deep thinker. Romo's smart-- almost too smart for his own good at times.

Seriously! How about Tony Romo is just Tony Romo. He is playing diesel and that is good enough. I don't think Tony Romo goes out on the field ans says "I'm going to play like John Elway today... or maybe I'll play like Brett Favre." I just think he plays.

But I agree with what one other person said that Romo is brighter than Farve-- I agree.


Romo's smarts are his best attribute IMHO.
