Being a fan for 25 years nothing would surprise me. I have no confidence in our OL at all to protect Romo.
An opinion you've reached without even knowing who's going to be starting for them... that's an amazing ability you've got there, Kreskin, could you give me the lottery numbers for this weekend??
Like it or not the two guards brought in are career back ups as I've posted evidence of this on a different thread.
Didn't see it, so permit me to tell you that claim is also pure, unadulterated bullcrap... Nate Livings has started the last 40 games for the Cincinnati Bengals... 16 last year, 16 in 2010, the last 8 in 2009... meanwhile, Berandeau has started 20 out of his last 47 games... only a truly clueless fan would call Livings a "career backup", when he's started 47 out of the 52 games he's played in... since when is a player who has started 90 per cent of his games a "career backup"??
I don't even think you can call a player who has started 20 of 47 games a "career backup"; Bernadeau started 12 of 16 games in 2010, does that sound like a "career backup" to you??
And I have to ask, what exactly makes you think that your opinion of our two free agent linemen is superior to that of Bill Callahan?? Are you THAT arrogant??
The more I argue with you, the clearer it becomes that you like to shoot from the lip without bothering to do any research to back up your proclamations... be advised that if you come at me without the facts, I'll use the facts to make you look really, really foolish...
You know, like now, with your "Livings is a career backup" BS...
And as you have pointed out Costa who could be starting centre can easily be replaced. So why even bother with Costa at all if he's not gonna be here next season. Start someone else who has long term future.
While I said he COULD be replaced, I didn't say he WOULD be...
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, is it??
And as for the cap space created by Newman's release most if not all will be used to sign Claiborne.
Chuckle.... you didn't have the first clue about Newman's cap hit coming off on June 1st when you said we had 2 million in cap room... and the truth is, the Cowboys' rookie salary cap number for the entire class is 5.7 million (truthfully, I didn't know it would be that high until I went and looked it up)...
So, the rookie pool will eat up most of Newman's bonus (but not Claiborne alone as you claimed, once again you got it wrong)... which means that with the 2 million we currently have, and the increasing likelihood that Kenyon Coleman will be let go, (there's another 1.15 million in cap room) the Boys could have 3 million plus under the salary cap to sign another free agent or two... a little less, actually, they'll have to set aside a little money to fund the practice squad too...
This is hardly the dire cap situation you told us we were in, most teams have used up the bulk of their cap room for free agents by now... clearly, if a veteran they really like comes free before the start of the season, they will have the ability to got him...
And you still haven't answered the question, it's time for you to man up... it's a simple question, really; you said flatly that the Boys would go 0-13 this season; do you really believe that, or not??
Your credibility is on the line here, answer the question, with a yes or no... once you've given us your yes or no, you are free to elaborate at length, but yes, or no?? "I wouldn't be surprised" isn't an answer, it's a copout., a pathetic attempt to avoid answering the question...
