If you really go back and watch the play. Anthony Fasano doesn't even attempt to block the guy that eventually tackles Romo. Romo should have punched Fasano in the mouth after watching the film.

And the kicker only got a minimal chip on the guy, too. Even delaying him a 1/2 second more would've been a TD or at least a first down.

holding a snap for a field goal that has been your job for 3 years. is different than the defense making a good play and causing a fumble. The field goal snap is on 2 people and 2 people only. First person did their job, 2nd person didn't. end of story. tired of excuses. I wish you had this many excuses for dak.

I have an excuse for Dak. He can't throw an accurate football. That's his excuse.

What would you consider throwing an accurate football? That ball to Austin was about as accurate as you're going to get from any QB.

Except it's not the end of the story. You do know that the ball wasn't prepared properly....right?

Had they not used a brand new ball, that play could of ended up much differently.

I have never seen such hatred for such a good guy who did his best

clove and the rest of the haters are just plane psychotic about Tony.

Let's keep it in perspective. It's the 5%ers . Don't give them more credit where there isn't any. Just remember the 5%ers have been exposed and embarrassed time and time again because in their world, QB's alone win Super Bowls.

They blame a guy who took 4-12 teams and made them 8-8 and covered for an entire organization and their screwups his entire career and who made players and coaches around him millions (see Laurent Robinson and every coach who was retained by the Cowboys during his career).

Scott Pioli, former GM of the Patriots told a great story on Colin Cowherd a few years ago. If somebody recognized him in public and started talking football he would give them the Romo test. He would ask them what they thought of Romo, if they went on about INT's or being a choker he would politely excuse himself and walk away. If they appreciated his talent he would talk football with them - he simply wanted to know if they were knowledgeable football fans.

Romo has a better INT percentage than Aikman, Staubach, Elway and Marino and Favre.
He has the 4th best All Time QB rating.
He has the 2nd best all time 4th quarter QB rating in NFL history.

And these don't touch the things that Percy would post on here crushing people's narratives on Tony.

But more than anything - he was on national television every single week and played in the highest profile position in sports - QB of the Dallas Cowboys. In fact, those games he played in were so highly watched you can practically name the INT that people remember, Jet's on Monday night, Steelers on a bitter cold Fox afternoon game, Washington last game of the year, the Peyton Manning shootout, the 5 INT's against Buffalo on Monday night...yet how many brutal game ending picks did Stafford and Ryan and Eli and Favre, etc throw during all those years in nondescript games that nobody saw. Hell I remember playing the Steelers at Cowboys stadium and Ben threw a pick to Brandon Carr on the final series on a game winning drive.

The Dallas Cowboys were never as good as Tony Romo during his career.

This place would be excited if it was about Dak living in a trailer park and going on to becoming a scrub QB....

Take a story about a guy who was an undrafted FA, nearly cut, and then fighting to take over for an established veteran QB and keeping that job for 10 seasons - and it's "meh" to some of you LOL

It's going to be funny in 5-6 years when even the Dak fanboys are asking "Dak who?" when he's brought up in a discussion.

Forgive what? You act like you were bros and he slept with your girlfriend or something.
Aka I had zero faith Romo would ever lead this team to anything of significance. And no matter how much you beat your **** and drool over him that fact will never change. Everyone backs Dak because he is starting right now. If he can't get it done lets hope the front office figures it out quicker than 10 years this time.

While you are correct in the absolute, certain plays have a much greater impact based on when and where they happen and the circumstances. Had that play happened in the first quarter, it doesn't have the same impact because there's still 45+ minutes remaining to adjust and react. The fact that it happened with about 2 minutes left has way more impact. Anyone that disputes that doesn't understand the game. Certainly, the defense could've and should've stopped them after that play, but the momentum was all with Seattle at that point and Ole Mo is a huge factor. But even if the defense stopped them after that, the offense still had to move the ball again to have another chance at a FG.

Actually, that's not how it works.

Parcells should have put Bledsoe back in after Romo sucked in weeks 16 and 17. Should have went with experience instead of the young guy who had cooled off.

So a missed field goal on the last play that would've won the game has the same impact as a missed field goal on the opening drive of the game? They're certainly both worth 3 points, but I think it's safe to say that the end-of-game miss is waaaaaay more impactful than the opening drive miss. Did that last missed field goal cost the game? Absolutely! You can't say that absolutely in the case of the opening drive miss. There would still be 55 or so plays after the opening drive to factor in the missed points in the game strategy where there is none after the last play of the game.

Also if a standard episode of Football life is 60 minutes will Romo's be 45 minutes since he missed 25% of the games in his career? Just asking for a friend.
