I love to try to guess what Romo's working on in camp each offseason. He makes a point of there being something specific each year, and I was hoping this year was going to be 'taking a dive if there's pressure in my face outside the pocket.' The great spin moves actually save him wear and tear, but when he rolls out to buy time to flick the ball into the end zone and then tucks at the last minute and gets hit, that's when he gets driven into the turf on his shoulder. I don't know if it's possible to have him turn off the magic in those situations or not, but I'd like him to try.

The other thing I'd like is to see the OL start a fight every single time he takes a questionable hit. That's not the Garrett way, but I'd happily take the dozen or so flags it might cost us just to make the point that that **** isn't going to fly this year. Send the message to the referee crew that they need to be on top of those plays v. Dallas or they're going to be stopping fights all afternoon.

True, the Garrett way is to take your pounding and get ready to do it again.:D

Cabo had zero to do with the loss.

the '14 season was taken out of their hands, once again it was one of those nfl films all time moments...4th and 1 at lambeau in the fourth qtr in a playoff game. Instead of first and goal..well everybody knows.

and this team had a real chance in 09 but ran into a Vikings team that just never lost at home and got beat.

and if anyone wants to relive the horror of the giants playoff game I give you this...I made this 07 season recap way back when and never finished it so I never posted it until last month, here is part 6 which is a recap of the playoff game in its incomplete state.

Never said Cabo was reason for loss. I was using it for identifier.

2014 - We lost the lions and had game handed to us. Was taken away on packer game. Although if Dez just pulled it in.... It's a different story.

I don't have the energy to explain how we in no way lost the lions game or they gave it to us again. Its too tiring, fans should be able to understand the game so I will spare you my long wind explanation of that game.

I mean a team that forces three turnovers on defense in the second half, gives up no touchdowns and Converts two fourth downs in critical moments does not get a game handed to them.

Kind of, right?
I just watched theebs' video on the 2007 playoff game where Colombo got all over those Giants players for their late hits. We need some more of that.

Embarrassed? why because you cant understand the game and what happened?

lol. Here I will repost my thoughts on this game. We had nothing handed to us. We got stiffed on a PI and went for it on fourth, they punted.

that call had nothing to do with us beating Detroit.

I am so tired of hearing that repeated, its such a load of crap.

We won because we converted two 4th downs, one from the goaline down two scores.
We won because we forced three turnovers in the second half.

If on the final drive they actually did blow a call in our favor everyone would have something to talk about but they did not.

In fact the same guy lee dyer that threw the flag on hitchens on the next drive let an obvious PI go on Witten on the third down forcing us to go for it on 4th down which we completed.

Lee Dyer actually put his hand on the flag on his waist and pulled it out and didn't throw it. I made a video of it that week from the all 22 showing him do it. ON the tv broadcast aikman starts to talk about it and then they cut him off for commercial, when they came back they were just talking about the fourth down and buck wouldn't shut up about the penalty being picked up on hitchens and because of that all the lazy national media and lazy fans just assumed some sort of fix was in and there was a blown call.....

its funny to me because in 2013 when we had that amazing comeback at the stadium vs the giants we had a deep throw down the sideline draw a flag on NY which would have given us first and goal but they huddled up and overturned it. We lost the game. No one nationally said a thing.

Here is the Lee Dyer video. 3rd and 8 down 20-17 with 6:44 to go....witten is held and dyer pulls the flag out of his pocket and goes through the throwing motion but never throws the flag...witten ran down the field to yell at him but the tv broadcast went to commercial..no one ever said a thing........we had a choice..punt like Detroit did on 4th down or go for it, we went for it and got it...that is what winning is. That's what Dallas did, there was no conspiracy or luck involved.

They took it to us early, but if you're referring to the picked up PI on Hitchens, that was the right call in that game.

What was weird about that year, though, was that the Lions got 'jobbed' in Dallas. Then Dallas went to GB and got jobbed (no quotes on that one). Then that weird 5- turnover game where Kearse went from goat to hero in overtime with some questionable calls, and culminating in the Super Bowl where Wilson blew the go-ahead TD by throwing the goal line pick. It's like DET gave the schnide to us, and we handed it off to GB who gave it to SEA. Kind of fun the way it worked out, except for us getting jobbed on the Dez catch.

Respectfully disagree.
Bad pick up.
Back was to the ball.
He interfered with attempted catch.

Anyway... I'm good.

If Romo is going to play all season or at least most of it we do.

My concern for Tony *is* his age and his back, because that's a chronic injury to an important joint system. What I said above was that the risk of re-injury to his collar bone was not higher than it is for any player in his position. Unless you've heard something to the contrary?

You get so excited about the idea of calling me out for a homer wherever you think you can that you don't bother to read what I've posted carefully enough to understand the discussion.

There aren't many 36 year old QBs who have played at a top 5 level for 4-5 years after that, esp if they have back and collarbone injuries

It is absolutely blind homerism to expect Tony to play at a high level for another 5 full seasons

That is fact based on NFL history

Unfortunately in your bizarro world that constitutes 'calling me out'

You're so unnecessarily combative. It's weird.

I didn't say he was going to play at a top 5 level for four or five years. I have no idea what point you're trying to make.

All I said was that one healed collarbone injury does not make a second one more likely.

Stop diverting and explain what argument of mine you thought you were countering (I already answered your question anyway if you read carefully).

If you're going to suggest I'm a 'blind homer' who lives in 'bizarro world' the least you can do is explain what you thought you were talking about.

It'd be great if you were to actually answer, too, instead of trying to divert or just disappearing like you always do when cornered. Your choice.

What had held us back are a pretend GM who can't evaluate talent and an in-training HC who had still learned little

Many of you have chosen to ignore those facts for years

No, some of us just see no reason to complain about things we cannot change.

We are stuck with that pretend GM who can't evaluate talent so we might as well look at other aspects of our team that could be different. There's no doubt that Romo's game has improved (so yes, that actually has changed) and again, I have little doubt that the Tony Romo of 2014 would have led us past the Giants in 2007.

If you'd rather gripe about the GM and head coach, go chase that wind.

Unfortunate that he'll likely end his career with nothing more than a few playoff wins.

We literally won the freaking Loto finding Tony Romo in free agency ...... and the idiot owner/gm wasted him trying to get cute in the drafts and hiring yes men to coach his teams.

When Tony retires without a Superbowl I hope it haunts Jerry for the rest of his scumbag life.......but I also know that a narcissist like him could care less about Tony never winning.

Not every great QB wins the SB. It takes a great team with minimal injuries during the year and that QB who has a hot hand. Tony came from
out of left field to play QB for the Dallas Cowboys and will retire a Cowboy. He has set his family up financially for life and will retire as a fairly young
man. Yes, he may have regrets but, from where he has come from I would consider his career a success by any standard.

Ok... While that is a very real possibility.... I ain't going there until he says, "today, I am retiring from the Dallas Cowboys"...

Instead, I am going the Elway-way.
(Elway was a poster child for "my team not only loses every super bowl it goes to... It gets massively blown out)

And then it happened. Twice!

Romo isn't Elway and our team isn't the 98 Broncos.
