I'm one of those who says CB, given our pending free agents. My rationale is, this defense with a decent enough set of cornerbacks has proven it can win even w/o an elite pass rushing DE. And, that we have some young talent in the barn who plausibly can emerge next training camp.

Then, I think we should go for a QB after that. (I kid.)

I would draft an edge rusher in two of the first three rounds and a cornerback in the other. Anthony Brown looks like a keeper, but can O-Scan stay healthy and are Carr and Claiborne coming back?

do not be shocked if they go TE in round 1.

Thought about that, and I agree it's a serious option. How Rico practices these last few weeks will go a long way in that decision, of course. The draft isn't nearly as deep there, but it does have a couple of prime properties.

DL/WR are my two top needs, so get the best available in free agency from either of those two, then the other with the top pick in the draft unless the value is not there. Afterwards I would go pretty much all out defense + Outside backup tackle. Next year my top offensive pick would be TE. We will be set in Offense for a long time.

It all depends on what Romo does that impacts our cap number. This will impact what we can follow in FA

This FO will draft the best player available but we are picking in the end of the first Rd so that might allow us leeway to target some guys we like .

I see Romo re-working his contract in a manner that lets the Cowboys release him with reduced cap penalty. He has a great relationship with the Jones family.

Plus, don't forget the cap is going to be at least $13 million higher than this year's, if I remember correctly.

The club could trade a Prima Donna to move up for a DE.;).
I bet if the best player available is a RB or DT the cowboys won't take them. I think the best player available approach is only useful when you have a lot of positions if need.

But I'm sure agree my bro. This was more for the person you respOnded to
