Watching the interviews , podcasts , and articles this week has me worried . The players seem full of themselves right now. I understand being excited but , truth is we haven't done anything yet. I like confidence but not cockiness . Watch the interviews the players and coaches were acting like they won the super bowl after Seattle.

I love what this teams doing on the field . But I'd like too see some more humbleness off the field and in the locker room. Maybe a loss would be a good thing for this team ? Realty check ?

I love the direction the teams headed but they better tone it down a notch , right now I think they're taking a bit of cheese thinking they're unstoppable .

Stay humble until you've done something significant.

I know I'll get flamed but , hey it's my two cents.
I've got good news for you. The Cowboys are not going to go 15-1. Sooner or later, they're going to lose a game and you get to post, "See? I told you so! They got too cocky and they didn't take care of business, just like I said!" I can tell how much you're looking forward to that.

Don't at all see what the OP is seeing.
Before last week, the Giants hammered three teams in row. Them winning this week wouldnot be an upset and I feel the team knows that.
Leave it at that.

I do not agree that a loss would be a good thing. Confident AND winning games is a good combo to have. The Eagles are also 5-1, we don't have any ground for lesson-learning losses.

When you're better than a team, there's not much they can do about it. You can smile, laugh, dance in front of the other team, what matters is what team is better, and more importantly, what team executes better. We need to run it down their throats until they quit.

Especially a loss in the division.

Rather than attack the op I just want to say I disagree because I WANT my team to be cocky. I want them to think they can go out and knock around any tough guy on the block. Because if they don't believe it then it's most likely because they can't. Yes they need to focus and not assume any game is a win but as far as being happy and a little cocky they could use a lilttle of that.

I think you are overlooking how powerful confidence is in any type of competition. See Claiborne as an example of what the lack of confidence can do. I want this team to have some swagger. A lot of this game is mental and I want us to have that mental edge. Go into each game and punch the other team straight in the mouth. A lot of them won't be able to respond.

Also, you can argue back and forth about if Garrett is a good coach or not but I have always felt that one of Garrett's strengths is keeping his team focused. In every one of his interviews I've heard this year he goes on and on about mental toughness. And this team has it. I just don't see this current team faltering due to the mental side of things.

The team is just doing what their boss man told them to do. They are all smelling the roses.

Let's just make sure Romo and Witten don't go to Cabo during the bye.

I don't like this love fest. We need to keep it going. I'm nervous every week. I can't be confident w our past. Let's change that this year.

Joins Cowboys forums. Posts negative thread asking what they've done. Takes quick look at record. 5 straight, super-bowl champs handled. Clearly Cowboys need to detonate to complete *that* guys day.

The Cowboys of the 90s had their fair share of cocooned/swagger/etc...

I think we all agree with the spirit of your post.

Dallas has that rep of playing well September to October..

and unraveling from November to December.

Luck and lack of injuries is going to play into it.

I'm hopeful like everybody we can change.

We'll see.
