Do not confuse cockiness or arrogance with confidence or swagger..... as fans, we should ride the wave and enjoy it while it lasts... Why some choose to be pessimistict
after a FIVE game winning streak including defeating last years champs in their own back yard is crazy... for so many years there was plenty of reasons to be negative...
I say try to enjoy the positive for a change...... as for today's game... should be tough... I think we win anyway.

At the risk of being over cocky and arrogant, I will throw in a dose of reality as well and say that todays game against the Giants will be total domination by the Cowboys since the Giants suck and the Cowboys are actually a really good football team this year. I dont care if thats sounds over confident or not,, it just feels really good to feel that way after 2 decades of feeling the opposite.

Watching the interviews , podcasts , and articles this week has me worried . The players seem full of themselves right now. I understand being excited but , truth is we haven't done anything yet. I like confidence but not cockiness . Watch the interviews the players and coaches were acting like they won the super bowl after Seattle.

I love what this teams doing on the field . But I'd like too see some more humbleness off the field and in the locker room. Maybe a loss would be a good thing for this team ? Realty check ?

I love the direction the teams headed but they better tone it down a notch , right now I think they're taking a bit of cheese thinking they're unstoppable .

Stay humble until you've done something significant.

I know I'll get flamed but , hey it's my two cents.

The great Tom Landry was asked that same question long ago during one of their more successful win streaks during the season for the same reason you have laid out. He simply replied, "It's never good for a team to lose a game in any sport". Not sure if that helps but cockiness and confidence is a fine measure and we'll see how JG keeps them focused. Or not.

What in the world is the OP talking about?

If anything, reality is opposite of what he's claiming. The team's entire philosophy is pretty much based around the "move on from last Sunday (whether it was a W or an L) and get ready for next Sunday by getting better each day" approach.

Some folks are just happily unhappy. Simply need something to complain about.

In previous years we would win a big game and lose an easy one. Today will be a good test to see if they've moved past that tendency.

This is a test all good teams have to go through eventually. How do you deal with success? Some teams pass the test with flying colors and some ... well ... not so much. But here's the thing, there really is no way to tell who will and who won't pass it until they actually have a chance to take it.

As a fan, you should enjoy this success rather than worrying about bad things that MIGHT or might NOT happen.

Focus on all the positives going on right now and let those that NEED to worry about those things worry about them.

Smell the roses.

They beat the Saints then beat the Texans. Granted, by the skin of their teeth, but they won that game.

I'm not wired that way. I don't focus on the positive. Never have. To me, that means don't see the total picture. Focus on what makes you feel good. pretend that's all there is, and live in that fantasy.

It's probably why I haven't looked completely clueless the last 20 years. The OP is reading my mind. That is a concern and a hurdle for the team.

My mindset is much more Bill Parcells than it is Tony Dungy.

So when do you actually get to ENJOY anything to do with this team?

When is it OK to be happy?

Go look at the post-game comments of JG to the team...he said more than once (paraphrasing) "Great win, but we have a lot of work to do..."

Garrett is keeping them grounded, IMO....as a fan, I am NOT going to hope for a loss to keep the team in line....the goal is to win, not lose so that you can win more later....

Note: I loved seeing the defensive swagger in the Seattle game...the offense didn't show it in their body language as much, but the OL showed it on the field

Confidence, not cockiness

just win baby, just win

I have to disagree with the op. From the interviews I've seen the team really seems focused and are taking it one game at a time. Only thing I've seen that I didn't really care for was it seemed like Oscan was talking junk to the Seahawks sideline on what I think was the last play of the game. I really what to know what he was saying lol.

You're not a coach, or player, or GM, or an owner.... so you're wasting time because there isn't a thing you can do about any outcome... you're not clueless... you're delusional.

I think for a lot of folks it's "SB or bust", which is kind of unfortunate.

One of the great seasons of satisfaction for me was the 7-9 1990 season.

You could see the building blocks falling into place for the previous few seasons of mediocrity and badness.

Garrett should allow them to smile on Monday's only and only after a win.

Lose the game and there will be no Monday smiling.
