Not worried about smiling at all.

I'm worried about Eli and JPP going up against Parnell.

Its ridiculous that some people have the perception that, if you are enjoying watching your team win, you're some casual fan and know nothing about football...
you only know football if you are never happy and always angered and frustrated with your team... and now compare yourself to former NFL coaches... that would be ridiculous.
I fully expect coaches and players to strive for perfection and work to improve regardless of success... dedication is expected... as much as we would like to, nobody here
will make or call a play in today's game... so let's get over ourselves and take it down a notch.

Not sure how the OP is able to sense the inner mentality of the team right now, especially being as removed from the team as he more than likely is. Of course the entire organization is smiling and feeling confident right now. If they weren't, they'd probably be nothing more than robots who lack the capacity for emotion. Right now, we're 5 and 1. It's not a bad time to be upbeat, right?

It really wouldn't be anything unusual for any team to come off an emotional win if they got overconfident. Assuming that's the case as is being assumed by the OP, I would expect us to lose. If that happens, further examination would rightfully be forthcoming and hopefully the problems would be addressed and corrected ASAP. We have some pretty good coaches to tend to that sort of thing.

Realistically, there's possibly no just cause to become pessimistic right now, just when things appear on the upswing. It'll only create bad "juju." Why not try having good thoughts, Pessimist Cowboy . . . who knows, you might even start feeling a lot better in the process.

I want to know when they are allowed to have some swagger, cuz swagger can be a good thing, confidence and positive thinking and all that stuff,,, plus it's fun saying "swagger".

OP wants this team uptight

Just like him.

Do not confuse cockiness or arrogance with confidence or swagger..... as fans, we should ride the wave and enjoy it while it lasts... Why some choose to be pessimistict
after a FIVE game winning streak including defeating last years champs in their own back yard is crazy... for so many years there was plenty of reasons to be negative...
I say try to enjoy the positive for a change...... as for today's game... should be tough... I think we win anyway.

We beat them in their front yard.

With all their neighbors watching.

It was beautiful.

Been too long for anyone not to enjoy it.

So when do you actually get to ENJOY anything to do with this team?

When is it OK to be happy?

It doesn't mean you don't enjoy the wins. You just don't ignore the other side of it and assume you're going to win every week.

Good post OP.

To all the sad sacks who want to tell people how to feel - why do you care? If you want to sit around and pout, feel free. Don't tell the rest of us we're not allowed to enjoy it. The team is having success way beyond any of our expectations for the season, and I for one intend to enjoy the ride. If they don't win the Super Bowl it doesn't change the fact that the direction of this team has changed and their arrow is most definitely pointed up.

So because they arent frowning and being angry or fighting amongst eachother they are assuming they are going to win every week? And for your info, i think every team believes they are going to win every week. Just an illusion or legit to each team but im sure they all feel this way.

According to Aikman the opposite is true. He talked about how Garrett won't let the team get full of themselves. I think the team will be fine. Our fans tend to think we won the super bowl one week and we are the worst team in history the next. But that doesn't affect the team. It just makes this board entertaining :)

I don't see people doing that. I'm sure not taking the a Giants lightly. But I am sure happy with 5-1.

Watching the interviews , podcasts , and articles this week has me worried . The players seem full of themselves right now. I understand being excited but , truth is we haven't done anything yet. I like confidence but not cockiness . Watch the interviews the players and coaches were acting like they won the super bowl after Seattle.

I love what this teams doing on the field . But I'd like too see some more humbleness off the field and in the locker room. Maybe a loss would be a good thing for this team ? Realty check ?

I love the direction the teams headed but they better tone it down a notch , right now I think they're taking a bit of cheese thinking they're unstoppable .

Stay humble until you've done something significant.

I know I'll get flamed but , hey it's my two cents.

How you feeling now bro? We allowed to smile yet?

6 wins in a row? You know how rare that is? We allowed to enjoy it?

I smiled. Then remembered I shouldn't be, so now I'm not smiling anymore. This is serious business.
