Somebody put this clown out of his misery.

She told me the same thing in February.
You'll be hearing from her lawyers.

silverbear;1434421 said:It's my party, and I'll toot if I want to... toot if I want to... toot if I want to...
You would toot too, if it happened to you...
silverbear;1434421 said:Except that's not the thread I'm talking about at all... go back in the archives, look up "Bear's Look at Free Agency, v. 2007"... you'll find a thread I started just before, and I mean JUST before, free agency started... in it, I identify the top 3 team priorities in free agency as being, in order, right guard, backup quarterback and free safety... in the post at the start of this thread, I quote the specific comments I made about Leonard Davis and Brad Johnson in that article, and I discuss what I said about Ken Hamlin in that post...
It was a post intended to try to figure out which way the Boys would go in free agency, and this thread was started to point out that in my opinion, I did a pretty good job of calling it, for somebody on the outside of the organization...
With the signing of Hamlin, I got to thinking back to that thread I started, and got to feelin' impressed with the job I did on it, so I made a post saying so... I've gotten lots of stuff dead wrong before, but this time at least, I called it pretty good...
It's my party, and I'll toot if I want to... toot if I want to... toot if I want to...
You would toot too, if it happened to you...

I predict that the Cowboys will draft at least one player in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Do I get to make my own thread proclaiming my clairvoyance when all three come true?

HeavyHitta31;1435544 said:What seems to be the problem here? If the guy accurately predicted our FA signings, give him props and move on. It's the freakin' internet, who DOESNT toot their own hotn?
Bang up job, bear
silverbear;1434045 said:OK, we've got 3 weeks of free agency behind us, the Boys have just signed Ken Hamlin, and the signings should be few from this point on, mostly depth type signings... so I thought that his would be an opportune time to take a look at the free agent analysis I wrote a few weeks back...
For openers, I said the Boys' top priority should be the offensive line, particularly a replacement at RG for Marco Rivera...
I then went on to discuss Dielman and Steinbach, then my third choice was:
And when the Boys announced their first free agent signing, it was big ol' Leonard Davis... this Horns fan was happy...
The next priority I mentioned was finding a backup QB, and the Boys' next signing was Brad Johnson, to fill just that role... I'll only give myself half credit for that one, though, because although I did mention Brad as a free agent, I basically blew him off, because of his rather weak arm...
So I was right and wrong at the same time on this one... and I still think that Brad was the most questionable of our free agent signings...
Then we moved on to the Cowboys' third priority in the offseason-- free safety... and just today, the Boys moved to address that position, signing Hamlin...
I am quite happy to be proven wrong about Hamlin's price tag, and quite pleased with this most recent signing...
So, in that analysis, I listed the Cowboys' top three free agent priorities as right guard, backup quarterback and free safety... in that order... and the Boys' first three free agent signings (from other teams) were a right guard, a backup quarterback and a free safety... in that order... OK, I dismissed the notion of signing the backup QB they finally wound up signing, and I incorrectly assumed that Hamlin would want a LOT more money than the Cowboys ended up paying him... but I had the positions of need right, the order of priorities right...
And I'm more convinced than ever that before it's all said and done, Randall Godfrey will wind up in a Cowboys uniform too, which will make that free agent analysis easily the most prescient I've ever written...
I'm actually rather surprised, with the regime change in Dallas this offseason I was more or less guessing at what the new staff would be targeting... but I'm impressed with me too; I was GOOD this time around... LOL...
silverbear;1435564 said:I'm pleasantly surprised, and thank you for the kind words...
As for the tooting my own horn stuff, that was always tongue in cheek, even if it was exactly what I was doing... it was a straight line for the assorted comedians in here to have a bit of sport with me...
HeavyHitta31;1435574 said:If I say I was right about that, am I tooting my own horn? Could I get my own epic thread with insults flying at me right and left?
Bob Sacamano;1435615 said:nope, you're never right
you get insulted for speaking anyways
