That wit never ceases to amaze

Dallas runs to the left-side:

in '04, the team averaged 4 yards a carry running to the left-side

in '05, 4.1 ypc

4.9 in '06

still waiting...

Still waiting?

Frank Gore was dominant behind LA. Enough said.

Pretty darn right on the $. I too thought Hamlin would get big bucks and was amazed he has to except 2.5 for 1 year.

All I can figure is that other teams were still concerned about that head injury... if that's the case, I'm a little concerned about that too, but hopefully the Boys checked out his physical condition quite thoroughly before they signed him...

As soon as I read the title I thought "Oh damn, 5+ pages of high and mighty internet tough guys coming up".

If I say I was right about that, am I tooting my own horn? Could I get my own epic thread with insults flying at me right and left?

Perhaps, but I think if you'd have a better chance if your personality was JUST a bit more abrasive... LOL...

Like I said, I knew the title of my thread would flush a bevy of the usual suspects out of cover... :D

I have to give you credit old bear, you definitely do your home-work and study hard. This year I didn't have the strength to go through all the drafties and free agents, I was on top of it last year, but once again, excellent job.

Now give me some lottery information.;)

If I had that info available, I'm pretty sure I'd keep it to myself... :D

I think I agree with most everyone else. While you "named" the people we would sign, you dismissed two of them (Johnson/Hamlin).

And the guys you named were pretty much the most prominent names out there in free agency.

What guards were there other than Dockery, Steinbech, Davis, and Deilman?

Same with QB & Safety.

Now, if you had listed all the candidates and said 'I expect Dallas to bring in Brad Johnson, Ken Hamlin, and Davis', then I'd understand the purpose of this thread.

And my response to you is the same as it was to all the others who made that point-- if it was so easy to predict all of this, how come none of you DID??

Some of you might have posted thoughts about the need along the offensive line, about the need at backup quarterback, about the need at free safety... but I haven't seen anybody make all three points in one post, and I haven't seen anybody get the order in which the Cowboys would address those needs correctly the way I did...

Yeah, some of y'all are real experts-- in hindsight... but I haven't seen anybody else speak up in this thread to say "hey, I made that same call too"... you guys all suggest it was EASY to make that call, but none of you actually seemed to get around to doing it...

Of course, I'm bragging about it in the first place because I'm surprised I was able to call it that closely this time around; I make such analyses every year, but don't often get them THIS right... and as I said, it was tougher to project what they might do this year, with a new regime coming on board, so I was doubly surprised at the accuracy of that post...

I didn't get it EXACTLY right, but I was candid about where I was wrong, and I got it pretty close, really...

You didn't predict anything. You listed candidates of guys who could fill three of our most glaring needs. If anything, you "predicted" we wouldn't sign two of the guys we did. Congrats!
