Top 3 worst management decisions over the years

Drafting Randy Gregory, J Smith, Schoomaker, in the second and Mazi in the first ranks up there too
To clarify, im a big J Smith fan. But with that injury you dont draft him in the second rd. Thats just ignorant management hes a 5th rd at best.

Lol. Just stop.

Nearly any list you will ever find shows Moss to be a top 5 or top 3 wide receiver of all time. Literally. Just about every single list.

4 x 1st Team All-Pro

Passing on an all-time great player at any position is ALWAYS a mistake.

From Wikipedia:
Widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time and one of the greatest players in NFL history, he holds the NFL single-season touchdown reception record (23 in 2007), as well as the NFL single-season touchdown reception record for a rookie (17 in 1998).
I don't go by lists.

Just stop thinking your opinion is the only one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again using hindsight. Predraft, no player is an all time great. A mistake is passing on a known quantity, or taking a lesser prospect. Moss was not a great prospect. Ellis was the right choice at the time.

All time great players don't walk off the team while the game is still going on.

So during the entire ownership of the Dallas Cowboys via Jerry Jones, which are the top 3 worst decisions by management since the Jones' have owned the Cowboys? Here are mine:

1. Firing Jimmy Johnson following back to back Superbowl wins.
2. Not doing a single thing to get Adrian Peterson into a Cowboys uniform, a guy that called Jones and made it clear he has always wanted to be a Cowboy, and a guy who proved he could carry an entire team on his back as he repeatedly proved he was a wrecking machine of a runner.
3. I am so disgusted by the first 2 on the list that my head is spinning so much I cannot even think about a 3rd.

Let's hear your 3. Or will the management here crush the freedom of speech I put my *** on the line to protect in multiple wars and countless missions?
Jimmy quit because he let his ego clash with Jerry's ego and he got his feelings hurt.
He then quit in Miami when he realized winning without a stacked team was hard!

RBs have an effective lifespan of around 6 years in this league. Betting on an outliers is poor odds.
For instance, Peterson only had 3 1k yard seasons after that mark.
He only had 2 after the call to Jerry where he said he wanted to play for Dallas when his contract was up (still had 2 years) and almost got Jerry hit for tampering.
He only had 1 after actually becoming available.
He had 5 or 6 seasons in between that ended in injury and less than 600 yards!

He’s top three with Rice and Owens, that shouldn’t even be debatable. But, he was risk to draft him because he couldn’t stay out of trouble since high school.
Highly debatable. There are many more dependable route runners than Moss. Owens is not top 3 either. Fitzgerald, Tim Brown, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Chris Carter, Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Mike Irvin, Largent, Lofton, Joiner, Risen. Marvin Harrison.

There is a long list of great WRs that make it highly debatable. We all have our preferences, Moss is simply not mine. After Jerry Rice, there is a long list of who could be next. It's a pick your poison debate, not a not debateable debate.

Lance Alworth belongs in the top 3 debate.
