Aww, it hurts. It hurts...
The thing that you don’t realize is that Dak hurts the team and overpaying him for the next several years is going to kill the team, but cheer on since you seem to be more of a Dak fan rather than a Cowboy’s fan.

I can't link the article b/c it's from the ant-CZ newspaper in Dallas, but the paper assembled a panel of Gil Brandt, Babe Laufenberg, Brad Sham and Kevin Sherrington to assemble a list of the top 5 QBs in Cowboys history. Here was their list:

In other words, Dak is the worst franchise quarterback in the history of the Cowboys.
All the rest were successful.

Romo had plenty of talent so this nonsense needs to stop. He failed in the most important games, just look at win and go home games. In your opinion you can love Romo all you want but he doesn't compare to cowboys greats and those are just the facts.

MYOB Brah, its not nonsense, Its an opinion and no way did Romo have the same talent that Staubach and Aikman had nor the same GM and coaches etc etc..

name me all the hOF PLAYERS that Romo played with then take some time to compile all the ones the other qbs not named Dak played with...if some of us want to put romo up amongst the best to ever don the star on his helmet..Aikman and Staubach had twice the advantages Romo had and Romo still compiled great numbers over a given time..Romo didnt always play with garbage but he did not play with the ridiculous amount of HOF players at one time playing for all those SB teams.. Romo on the 90s teams or Staubachs team, im confident we dont lose a beat..

ITS OUR CHOICE, OUR OPINION AND YOU CANT TELL US HOW TO FEEL..

No, I also don't agree with him asking top pay. Just playing against the hypocrisy of some posters who said nothing against Romo, Zeke, D-Law, etc.

Damn you guys get defensive about Romo. You do know they played in different eras and it’s next to impossible to assemble and keep that kind of talent together for extended periods any more?

Romo had plenty of talent around him but your right the other 2 played in different eras and had more talent .

that said Romo played in much more pass friendly eras if he had to endure the type of punishment aikman and roger did he would have been on the stretcher every year

With the current QB friendly rules, Roger, Don, And even Troy would be unbelievable with the numbers that they would put up. Every rule passed in the last decade has been made to make the passing game easier which leads to inflated numbers and it makes it impossible to compare modern QBs with the QBs of the past.
no others do *** do you

I know they change rules for dirty type hits to he;p protect all players not just QBS but have you ;looked around the league, sacks are still up, QBs are still missing a lot of games..I mean Luck QUIT, Cam was out again, Big Ben out, heck PB used like 4 QBs, , how many games did Foles went down early, wentz cant stay upright, Detroit lost their starter, Dak was hurt afew games, every year many starting NFL Football QBS still on IR, Football is still rough , we are back to running QBs like RG3 what happened to him? Ive seen many beat up qbs and add in all the OL and DL lost , Amari out.. this is football people no matter the era..

its an overblown narrative on the ERa bs there are RBs in all ears you are great you just are no matter the rules, same goes for QBs many QB in the HOF from the 60s. 70. 80s even in running leagues put up huge numbers..football has changed some but not as much as people want to debate..these layers play 2 more games , work out and have more off season activity's they are require dt do and ill say these less physical practices are doing more harm then good..players arent used to the hitting and when it becomes real, get hurt just as often..

Romo on any of those SB teams would have been great..i remember many times he was on stretcher already..its football..

How are you determining what a franchise QB is? If by number of games, there are only 7 QBs in Dallas history with more than 60 games as a Cowboy.

By number of games, the longest on the roster were White 166, Aikman 165, Romo 156, Staubach 131, Meredith 104, Morton 101, Prescott 64, LeBaron 52, Pelleur 47, Hogebloom 45, Carano 36, Rhome 33, Johnson 32, Carter 31, Beurlein 24, Garrett 23.....

2and highest winning QB the past 4 years, aside from Tom Brady.

What were you saying, Greg?

What exactly have we won. Did we win some championships like Brady?

Or is this the type of winning Cowboy fans now slobber over in a circle jerk.

I fail to see anywhere I compared Staubach and Aikman teams to Romo.

That being said, Romo played in a league that leaned more to passing plus rules that benefited more to receivers and the passing game. It's completely insane to say Romo was better than Staubach or Aikman or even White. Romo has played with very good players and some are either in the hall of fame or will be. Or a guy like Murray and Dez, both having some records as it pertains to the Cowboys, and still didn't get the job done. It's fact Romo failed in the playoffs. 2 total wins in the playoffs is pathetic and should never be mentioned as being better or as good as superbowl winning QBs like Aikman and Staubach.

I'm finished with this nonsense, so good day to you
