There are a lot of fans that believe Dallas should take a WR in the 2006 draft. I personally believe we could wait a year, but there's no doubt we will need some playmakers over the next few years, so if one's there that the organization likes, it may be a good idea to get one next season and let him play with Glenn/Keyshawn/Crayton a season before being asked to assume a bigger role in 2007.

Here is a list from Great Blue North Draft Report of the top WR prospects for the 2006 draft.

Does anyone have an opinion on who from this list, or any other WR not listed that you would love to have?

I think Baskett is a very intriguing prospect. I've seen him play a few games this year and he can really go up and get it. He's 6-3, 220 and by the looks of this list would be there at the end of the 2nd round (it's still way too early to know for sure, though).

Derek Hagen, Arizona State
Martin Nance, Miami (Ohio)
Steve Smith, Southern California
Santonio Holmes, Ohio State
Todd Watkins, BYU
Demetrius Williams, Oregon

These guys are some decent spped guys...i'd love to add a good speed WR with some size. I know Nance and Watkins run in the sub 4.4 and have really good hands. Don't know much about the other...I should know about Williams here in OR, but have not watched any games this year...

I like that Jeff Samazja(?) from Notre Dame. 6'5" and catches everything. I'll take Skyler Green from LSU as well and our return man search will be over.

Jeff Samardzija. I think he's a Jr. He may not come out.

I doubt that Nance runs a sub 4.4, I think it's more around 4.5

He's also a TE, isn't he?

THat Mercedes kid from UCLA's real good too, but I think he might be a TE.

ND also has Maurice Stovall who has looked very good and also listed at 6'5" with 50 catches and 9 TD on the season.

You got as thing for Ohio State WRs, LTN? :D

Or is it just the ones that remind you of Terry Glenn?

Stovall's a big dude

Looking at ND lineup they seem to have a lot of big dudes at WR and TE. Charlie Weis has done an outstanding job with that team.
