Maybe three years ago they were, when Ogden deserved the All-pro awards and Probowls and Edwin Mulitalo DESERVED to go, as did Mike Flynn, but now they are middle of the road at best.

Nate Clements is a probowl player; it's just that he is in a terrible market and nobody cares about the Bills.

Besides that I think it is a decent list and good read... Vincent Jackson can be a solid West Coast reciever who can catch 70 balls if that idiot Rivers can get it there.

Also D.J. Hackett from Seattle is an underdog IMO; he can be a good WC reciever.

he's averaged a little over 3 ints a yr, he is a solid tackler. but i just think them 3 int's a yr is enough to justifiy that contract. and that being the basis i put him there. again read a little better.

This is the problem with some people on this site; you only see what you like to see and little else.

Fine, I mispoke when I said that you had said the Ravens had the best line in the league; but that still doesn't make up for the fact that you said they had a better line than most in this league... that statement is laughable in itself.

Secondly, Terrence Newman has averaged only 3 ints in his career, but he would command as much money from a team with the resources to provide it. Clements is not on par with Newman, yet Clements was the BPA

Use your "LatinMind" for one second and think about how much money from that contract Clements will actually see... most of the contract is backloaded in the final years of the contract; It is mostly fluff that he will not see.

Has Terrence Newman not be a "production guy" per your first post? I mean, he only had ONE int this past season, I guess he MUST suck. Stats aren't everything. Honestly, Newman has less tackles because he does such a great job at preventing the WR from catching the ball;less is more in this situation.

Maybe Clements didn't deserve that contract... neither did Leonard Davis, nor did Eric Steinbach or Derrick Dockery or Patrick Kerney or any of the other "big name" free agents. That is the name of the game in this league, this is the state of the market. If Clements plays all-world next year the money paid won't seem so bad; and probably in a few years his contract will look moderate comparatively.

Tom Brady: He's one of the top QB's every yr, but this yr might be something special. 16-0? New England went out and bought a Championship, and if they dont win it. This might be the biggest choke in history. Up and down the team, they're the best. But WR; Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker, Reche Caldwell, Jabar Jaffney, Chad Jackson, Kelly Washington. I think we might be looking at a serious 19-0 team here.

You lost us all right here. With league parity, no one is likely to go undefeated or winless, bad as we want Cleveland's 2008 pick to be #1.

The on-paper teams never turn out quite like they look this time of year. But you're entitled to dream.

The Pats go to Cinci, Dallas, Indy(who has owned them lately) Baltimore and the Giants on Dec 29. They also have SD, Philly and Pitt at home. They'll win their Div. because it sucks, but they'll also be lucky to be 13-3 let alone 16-0. I'd say 12-4 just like last year and last years schedule looked a lot easier that this years does.

Yes, 22 million steep for a signing bonus for a b+ player at best, as is his 10 million dollar a year salary.. But the 49s are stupid enough to give them the dough and they have it... and if they have a top ten Defense and give the team any amount of respectability back and into the playoffs, I don't think they will be saying bust.

Roy Williams will have the best year of his career under Phillips. He is a good pass defender when he plays in zones that occupy the first two-thirds of the field. Asking him to cover the deep middle (1/3) of the field in cover-2 is playing to his weakness. Hamlin and Watkins should take the deep 1/3 away from Roy.

I like my chances with Williams playing up close to the line. Yes, they might find him some. However, when Roy is lurking in the shallow and middle zones or thirds, he might find them, and they might not get up after he lays them out. He has proven that he can force turn-overs. Williams is a safety/linebacker. He is one of the Cowboys best players. His vaunted reputation took a big hit during last December. I think he will answer the bell and come out fighting and prove his skeptics wrong.

When Roy hit that 49er returning that kickoff, I feared for his life.

Williams isn't blameless, and he needs to lose some bulk. Nevertheless, he can be a real force up close. I hope the other teams think like you do.

I don't understand this myth that Tom Brady has never had any good wide receivers to throw to. Does anyone besides me remember Deion Branch?

Moss is special, if his head is on straight. But, when has that been the case for a full year? If he does it this year, it will be the first time. So, I'm not making any bets.

Donte Stallworth is overrated. He's a decent receiver who's never lived up to his hype. Will Brady make him great? Who knows. He still has to get open and catch the ball.

Wes Walker? Who the hell is that?

No, they don't need moss- but he will certainly be a much bigger distraction then TO was during the season. And they did add Thomas to the LBs- but that was not enough. Same with the secondary. This will all show up late in the season.

Moss will not be a distraction, u are saying the same thing everyone was saying about TO. Moss is on a contender not the Raiders where they Bench their #2 WR who is pretty good I think and had Andrew Walter, Aaron Brooks and Tiuosopposa throwing him the rock... Moss will be better than ever, plus he is playing for a new Contract, can u say best Wr in football again
