Has anyone heard if Torry Holt has been released by the Rams? Do you think that Jerry Jones will pursue him?

Q_the_man;2685167 said:Believe me when or if Holt gets released you will see at least 10 post post, saying Holt was released and should we pick him up... Holt will be released by Sat.
Should we pick him up? y mine guess their will be alot of teams looking for his services unlike Marvin Harrison.... I bet he will get at least 3 years 18mil from a team.... TO got 6.5 for one year, Holt will basically recieve same contract, just for more years.

He specifically mentioned Miles Austin and how he is going to get a chance to really step up this season.
So my interpretation is that we are not going to be signing Holt or any other FA WRs, we are going to go with Roy Williams and Miles Austin as starters and spread the ball to the other WRs and RBs (Jerry mentioned how great a WR Marion Barber is and how we need to take advantage of that next year).
So you guys having wet dreams over Holt need to go take a cold shower because it aint happenning.
How many "Jerry says TO is staying" threads did we have?Beast_from_East;2685258 said:If you listened to Jerry on the Fan yesterday, he basically said the reason for cutting TO was to give the younger players a chance to contribute.

Ah, if we only had that Amendola chap......malone1970;2685311 said:No, no one is having wet dreams over this guy. Just asking a question, but nothing against our young recievers, but you need an experienced veteran to show our guys the ropes. Torry is only 32 years old that is still fairly young. Now lets take a look at our recievers:
Roy Williams - our only true threat that is if he can stay healthy and can vibe with Romo during training camp.
Sam Hurd - coming off of an injury hopefully it has healed to 100% could be a threat with more guidance
Isaiah Stanback - has been hurt since he has been in Dallas and oh by the way transitioned from QB to WR.
Miles Austin - Did an outstanding job, but got injured hopefully he is back to 100% could be a threat with more guidance
Travis Wilson - haven't really heard of the guy but must make the team first and then vibe with Romo during training camp
Paris Warren - coming from the Arena Football league (Dallas Desparados), needs time to adjust to NFL
Patrick Crayton - good reciever but is not a threat or the answer.
So you do the math two of these recievers have 5 years of experience the others are less than 5 years. Do you really think this corp of recievers can to it for Dallas? No I don't think that they can. All I'm saying is an experienced veteran like Torry Holt could be an excellent addition.
