Heck no to Galloway... that experiment was a monumental failure before and I don't want to relive those days ever again. I know there were lofty expectations the first time (blown knee, disaster of a 2000 season, the Squincy era)... but Holt is hands down the better receiver.

Holt is hands down the better receiver but Galloway is a big picture move.

If Miles Austin can step up and be bigtime than he needs an opportunity to do that.

If Holt walks in here Austin will be the #3 regardless of how good he plays because Holt will get about 4 mill per year.

Galloway couldn't be a more perfect option and its not like Joey completely sucks because he doesn't.

I want to know the Cowboys true feelings on Austin. I know Romo really likes the guy and thought last year he would win the #2 job and he pretty much had it until he got hurt.

Yup and Jerry was pretty certain that that other guy wasnt going to be leaving either!

Believe that and this at your own peril! As for me I say lets get some insurance dont care if its this guy, the guy formerly of the Bucs or someone in the draft.

Also before the RW11 trade werent all of you clammoring about jerry not drafting a wr last year in the draft? Huh guess Crayton, Hurd and Austin have shown out so much that the number two WR is no concern anymore! Fools Gold me thinks!

My only problem with Austin is he was injury prone last season. We couldn't keep him on the field.

Don't act like when he got injured in the pre-season that every Cowboy fan wasn't devesated.

He shows bigtime potential and may just need to be given an opportunity.

You can tell the guy has put in the work to get himself in a position to succeed and with his measurables i'd take him over any guy we could draft in the 2nd round and maybe even Torry Holt at this point.

If we didn't have Austin then i'd have no problem with bringing in Holt because he is one of my favorite guys to watch. He's just a pure receiver.

My point, Catch, is that everyone is acting like Austin is under contract and I feel obligated to remind everyone that untill his name is on a contract speculating as to what he brings to the offense is futile. That and he was here when everyone was whinning last year that we absolutely could not move the ball with Crayton Hurd and Austin on the other side.

Austin made a play or 2 against Philly in the 1st game back. One was for a clutch conversion on 4th down.

He tore up Green Bay.

Then the following week he scored a TD against Washington.

Then I believe he got hurt the following week along with half of our team.

Not bad for a guy who is actually about the 4th option in our offense even when he is lined up as the #2 receiver.
