Torry Holt

Are we going to have a daily Holt thread until he signs with the Panthers?

Hey guys, does anyone notice that Miles Austin as yet doesnt have a contract in Dallas? Lets sign the danged guy before we put the anointing oil on him! Guys a RFA!

You must not have heard JJ's interview. While Miles may not be under contract, when JJ talks as assuredly as he did about his priority that Miles be given every chance to be the #2 guy, it doesn't matter. JJ knows when/if there's a chance he's going to lose a player, and he didn't even give the notion of losing Miles a chance. Therefore, Miles should be considered under contract.

Tori Holt is a great receiver. But I am soooo pumped to get a good look at all of our young guys next season. I don't think Jerry should sign him even if only for the singular goal of seeing exactly what we have in our young squad of receivers.

I'm all for drafting a WR but you still need vet insurance to go with it..

Just thinking of Stanback's potential, when healthy, really puts a smile on my face. :D

Draft= DJ Moore- Vandy CB

i'm failing to see why this is a thread that need to be posted twice.

Im fairly confident Stanback will be out of the league in 2-3 years.

The only young guy I like is Austin, but hes no lock. Id be ok w/ bringing in Holt if hes somehow cheap

The rumor going around is Holt's agent is asking for $5 mill per season.

Noway in hell I pay that much for a 32 yr old receiver.

Any injury to RW11 or Crayton or Austin puts us in a world of hurt.

I don't see how they do not bring in someone.

I keep thinking about Roy Williams lack of production last year, Torry Holt just compliments what we have so perfectly it's scary. It would be a great signing for this team specifically.

Exactly. None of our youngs guys have shown enough to just be handed a starting position. Competition is a good thing.

If it were me i'd look at Galloway.

Hes still fast and we wont have to feed his ego.

We need a vet that is cool with Miles Austin getting his opportunity.

Heck no to Galloway... that experiment was a monumental failure before and I don't want to relive those days ever again. I know there were lofty expectations the first time (blown knee, disaster of a 2000 season, the Squincy era)... but Holt is hands down the better receiver.
